The whole mate connection, one and only true bonding love, and HEA always make me happy. ..Show More »This novella-- and yes, I'm calling it a novella because it's terribly short-- wasn't awful, but it certainly wasn't amazing. I liked the concept of the 'too young to be mated' theme, and I was excited to see where the storyline was going... unfortunately, it just didn't 'grab' me. I wanted more angst, more drama.... essentially more conflict. So, although I hate to admit it, the book ultimately bored me. HOWEVER, Nick J. Russo, is a damn good narrator, and so his voice saved the day. I did buy book 2. (I thought the series would amuse me like Marcy Jack's shifter series always do... so, I will write a review for that one also, but take it from me... one of these novellas is enough. Save your money, definitely do NOT use a credit, and find another shifter novel for your listening pleasure.
