If you haven't heard a MONK audiobook yet, this one is quite delightful.
The story is is plotted out well.

If you like MONK the series, or the other MONK novels, you will have fun listening to this installment.

This is my new favorite Monk Book.
Not only did the author do a fantastic job of capturing the "Monk essence" and keeping the story interesting ..Show More »but Angela Brazil does a perfect job of narrating. She matches her tone and inflections to the tv characters perfectly. One of the best narrations I've heard.

This is a must for Monk Fans.

I loved the Monk TV series, and have either read or listened to all of the books by Lee Goldberg.

Angela Brazil does an excellent job narrat..Show More »ing as Nathalie, capturing the character and making me see Monk through her eyes.

The story is very good - if you like enjoyable, not-dark mysteries. While there is a main story, a main mystery to be solved, Monk (as in the other books) solves "mini-crimes" along the way. So, it's entertaining, does not drag on, and is a nice, pleasant listen.

I am a fan of the show Monk, and found the concept of a Monk novel enjoyable; it reminds me of a Gregory Maguire novel.

The story has a g..Show More »ood rythm and pace in which envisionment of the characters and situations are clear.
The Humor in the book is very "Monk-ish".
I did notice, however, notice that the author has an obsession with the word "said" in "he said, she said" this made it a little hard to endure those talk back moments.
A better narrator could have been chosen, even with the volume on my Ipod on a lower setting her voice was a little harsh in a "third grade teacher scolding" type of way. I dealt with the narrator and listened to the whole novel. (try listening to the sample before purchasing)

Overall this is a must for Monk fans.

I enjoyed the novel very much and hope that Audible will carry more audio book versions of the Monk novels.

I am a Monk-a-file. I really enjoy everything Monk. I thought I would have the same enjoyment I have had from the series as well as the previous boo..Show More »ks. I was not pleased at all. This book left me wanting anything else. Monk's character was not correct and the book did not follow the others in details. I hope the next books are better.
