Becky Thorn has been keeping a secret for more than seven years. A secret that, if found out, could destroy her. So before she gets too ensconced in London society, she accepts a position as a governess for a reclusive Viscount and his wife, far away from the town. Stephen Hastings, the third Viscount Hastings, is nothing short of perturbed when the tart Miss Thorn shows up on his doorstep. He is a man with little time and even less patience, who feels his pushover housekeeper is doing a fine job keeping his wards out of his hair. But Miss Thorn thinks differently and needles her way into becoming his governess, and eventually, the object of his affection.

    Great start to this series!

Lady Elizabeth Wetherby, formerly Crawley, has married the wrong man, after being duped by his identical twin brother. Now, to escape scandal, she and her new husband have taken refuge at Dunbocan, their Scottish estate. Having been a highly popular and active member of the ton, she worries that being stranded in the Highlands will be a horrible bore. But how can one be bored when a ghost haunts one's home? Michael Wetherby has been in love with Elizabeth Crawley, now Wetherby, since the day he met her. So, when his identical twin brother suggested they trade places one night, he was happy to oblige.

    A bit slow paced

I never felt as connected to the characters as I like to be. Plus, I didn't really get into the paranormal aspect of the story.
