I have read the hyper-critical of this work and honestly,the bad reviews convinced me to get it. Someone goes on a 750 word rant about how their thoughts are far superior than the book just make me want to see what the fuss is all about. Rather than trying to prove who has the bigger brain just open up, listen and compare or contrast you own thoughts and opinions.
This book facilitated free thought and that is what philosophy is all about...the investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods. I love Martin's book series and HBO's series and this is a good companion.

I liked the analysis on the comics, however way too much of the analysis was based on Rami's Spider-Man trilogy, and especially so with Spider-Man 3 (..Show More »which is a horrible adaptation in my opinion). I wish more of the analysis was based on the comics as well as the cartoon series (especially 90's and Spectacular Spider-Man).
