Okay. So I'm seriously having a hard time rating this book. The author is a talented writer with a witty sense of humor and fun characters, but there ..Show More »is so much going on, and the book is so all over the place I just feel completely lost after reading it. After researching information about the author I think this is supposed to be based on another series? That's grand and all, but what about those of us who haven't read the other series? I just feel . . . lost. At the beginning I loved it, mid way I was scratching my head, the end there were so many characters I couldn't remember who was who.
Sigh . . . I was so into this at first and I feel disappointed. I might try to read the other books by Kenyon so I might be able to understand this series better because I liked the writing so much.
This is another hit although the last 5 minutes at the ending was weird and I didn't like it. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's stuff and Holter Graham is aw..Show More »esome. Sherrilyn truly has a way of writing that makes you want to be a better person. Nick is such a wonderful character, all of her characters are. Recommended to read in order after the Dark/Dream Hunter books which I love. The world Sherrilyn creates is so vivid and exciting, the stories pull me right in. There was some conflicting back stories from this book and the rest of her stories, but that does not deter from the enjoyment it gives. There were a couple of recording/editing issues with the sentence being cut off and repeat of some phrases although it wasn't bad.
