You finally get used to the narrator, but she does not have the same flair for this book as the first. Richelle Mead is an amazing author and whether you read or listen to her books, I can promise good entertainment. I have read her latest, Shadow Kiss, and will purchase it from Audible as soon as it comes out; which hopefully it will be soon.

BUT was not happy with the nar..Show More »rator at all, it was very disappointing to go from the first 3 books, the last 2 having the best narrator Khristine Hvan, who made you feel as if you were part of the story, to this narrator who just made it frustrating to keep up with, the worst being Dimitri and Adrian voices. Please got back to Khristine Hvan.

The last book left you ..Show More »excited to see what happens next and this one leave you saying,"Wait! what? That is the middle of a chapter not an ending!" I really hope they land on a recurring narrator for the next one. This narrator was so distracting that it took away from two of my favorite characters [Demetri and Adrian] Her male voices were terrible and distracting. I loved the story, but my advice would be to preview before downloading. The narrator nearly ruined it for me.

For the most part, Emily Shaffer's performance was good. I still don't like her voices for Adrian or Dimitri, but everything else sounds just about right.
