Not read any of the Artemis Fowl collection yet? I recommend you do. The series will entertain children and adults. But as great as this book is, you will want to wait and read them in order. This book, more than any of the others, will require previous Artemis Fowl reading. I would tell you more about the book itself, but I don't want to ruin anything for you. And if you have a child that hasn't found reading enjoyable yet, your child hasn't read (or heard) Artemis Fowl.

Stop thinking about it! This is a great book. You WILL enjoy it.

I had wondered just how Artemis, Butler and Holly (not to mention Folly and Mulch) could be engaged once again in planet saving mayhem. Book four see..Show More »med a fitting book end, but it seems that the glut of fan mail Eoin Colfer received changed his mind.

So Artemis is at it again, and this dimension is not big enough to hold all of the action. Imagine Demons, time travel, life and death action! This installment is a thrill ride, and more mature then previous endevours. Colfer is allowing for his readers aging along with his characters, as a parent, I appreciate that.

I loved this book, listened to it in three days, and can't wait for my son to finish it so we can discuss it in great detail.

Caution: Some of the scene depicted may be too graphic for younger sibs to hear/read.

I have read every Fowl book and I am an adult. My son read them until he was TOO OLD haha, and now my daughter reads them. All of us have enjoyed th..Show More »e books. Colfer has a whimsical way of blending fact, fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. He has a knack.
His stories some how always have a twist or two that keep me guessing and that is why I read his books. I am a continuous reader and can rip a story to shreds because of poor flow, grammer, or just plain poor plot. Colfer can keep me interested to the last word and I love it.
I am an adult. I am a Cardiac Anesthesiologist. I read constantly and I read Colfer.

Oh yes and the Time Paradox is a great adition to the Fowl collection.

Obnoxious characters try to out genius each other, inexplicable tec..Show More »hnological wonders are patiently explained, whirling action scenes, fights and admittedly improbable escapes (and non-escapes) abound and, of course, there are dwarf gas jokes. Eoin Colfer tells a good story and Nathaniel Parker makes favorite characters sound how they are supposed to sound- that makes for an enjoyable audiobook this time around.
