I would try another book by the same author and/or the same narrator. This was a nice book. Simply Irresistible is book one of the Lucky Harbor trilog..Show More »y. This is the story of Maddie. She has lost Her job and broke up with her abusive boyfriend and goes to Lucky Harbor to work on the Inn her mother left her and her sisters as inheritance. Maddie goes throug a personal journey that is quite interesting and seeing the relationship with her sisters get better is really nice.
I don't think I'll get book two because it is narrated by the same person and the voice she gave Tara is way too old for the character. Tara sounds like a 45 yo smoker. So I'll skip that one and get book three (Chloe's story). It has a different narrator but sounds great.
If you are going to write a book about a strong Southern woman, it might actually be a good to research the differences between someone from Texas and..Show More » the Southern Belle's of Georgia. While the story mentioned more than a few times about the main character being from Texas, the narrator decided instead to drawn upon the likes of Julia Sugarbaker from Designing Women to voice over the character - mixed in with a little Scarlett from Gone with the Wind for good measure.
While that may work for a Southern Belle character from Georgia without being to offensive, not so much the case with those from Texas.
It was bad and yet the author approved the audio recording and allowed it to be released. It killed her story, what could have otherwise been a decent enough love story.
I've enjoyed this series a lot although I've read it out of order due to my issues with the different narrators used for each book. Chloe is the free ..Show More »spirited sister and the only one raised by their mother. Sawyer is the by-the-book sheriff and reformed bad boy. This is an opposites attract story.
This book is entertaining, sweet, hot and a great addition to the series. And this time the narrator El Suehyla is very good. she really compliments the story and makes the experience very enjoyable.

The narrator did a very good job too. This book is a must listen for anyone who enjoys a feel good hot romance story.
This is another case where I'm not sure if they story was bad or the narrator just made a good story bad. I've had good books that a bad narrator kil..Show More »led, this may be one of them. The chemistry between Amy and Matt wasn't that great and I got to the point where I didn't care and wanted it just to be over. Save your Audible credit and read this one.
Very high. Already a steady fan of Jill Shalvis, and I really enjoyed this story and the narrator's voice/interpretation. This is the sixth of six L..Show More »ucky Harbor stories (rumors abound there'll be more) and is a satisfying conclusion the series as we know it. Of the "Chocoholic" trio, this ranks right after "Lucky in Love" (still my favorite story) and before "At Last."
