To be honest, I expected sex as the main plot-point in a book titled “Succubus Blues,” but this just goes to show you should NEVER judge a book by its..Show More » cover! This fast-paced, supernatural thriller – chock full of witty dialogue and a bevy of intriguing paranormal beings – is mesmerizing reading indeed! Richelle Mead, well-known author of the Vampire Academy, really knows how to create a strong, sexy heroine with a heart of gold. Fans of Laurell Hamilton’s Anita Blake looking for a less intense version of the supernatural seductress should definitely check out this series!
If you haven't read the first two books in the series, then read them first. Once you get started, then you're hooked. The characters are the key, th..Show More »ey will grab you and become your closest friends. You feel Georgina's and Seth's turmoil, and it breaks your heart. This particular book really does this, and I'm glad that I don't have to wait a year, for the next in the series. Can just keep going and hope that she finds some sort of peace with her life at the end of the series. If you're looking for a feel good book, don't go for this book. It's a deep look into emotions, and hopeless love. You might be able to read the first two and not read this one. When you start this book, there is no stopping the heartbreak, that will make you go straight for Book 4.
Finding out more about Demon territories and their workings
Reapprearence of Roman! yay
The mystery: Where, w..Show More »hy and how the hell Jerome went missing
Georgina and gang without the immortal powers
Georgina how can you not see the traitor who is RIGHT in front of you!
The Climax was just a bit too rushed....
I like the fact that Seth's character got more "human" than the goody-goody too good to be true guy in this book. From the first book, I have been wondering if there is more to Seth than which meets the eye. I wonder if he's like a reincarnation of Georgina's first husband or any/all of her good mortal loves in the past.
I can't believe I have to wait until at least September for the sixth book. And then, that will be the last one!
This series is SO GOOD ..Show More »that I had to write to the author on her website. I am totally out of the demographics of these books---I am not a teenager or a young person---but I loved them all. Besides, I think they might be for adults anyway---the sex is totally out there and hot.
The narrator, Elisabeth Rodgers, is terrific throughout. I can really hear Georgina's character.
I have been so involved in the relationship between Seth and Georgina, that at one point while listening, I started yelling "No, stop it!" I won't say where that was because I don't want to give any spoilers, but suffice it to say, I was seriously involved.
These books may not be grand literature, but they are wonderful, indeed.
I was so anxious about this book. I was so worried that she would try to cram too much in or leave something out..... but as with Seth Mortensen, it m..Show More »ay take a year to write it, but it is worth every minute. If you are a GK fan you will not be disappointed in this book. RM stays true to each of her characters from beginning to end. Though I feel that she made Gerogina a bit more daft at times. True fans knew what was going to happen, but I personally did not think about the reactions to the revelation. Though there are not a lot of surprises as far as plot line there were many times that I was still guessing at how each character would play into the overall picture. I see another series forming from this one. I don't think this will be the last we see from the Seattle Crew, but I am very satisfied with Georgina and Seth's closing. I think this is the best series by RM. I have read other series by her and when I first started reading the Succubus series I had to go back and double check who the writer was. This series was written so profoundly different than any of her other series. It was smart, witty, mature and with just the right dose of sexual play and romance. The characters were all well developed along with each of their emotions and personalities. The reader for this series really made it too. You can tell she totally got Georgie. For me this was not just another typical Paranormal Romance. As with Katie and O'Neal, savor every page, or in this case, spoken word as it is rich and entertaining. Great Story, sorry to see it end, but what a great ending. Thanks Richelle for Sharing Georgie and the Seattle gang with us. It has been a pleasure.
