This is another one of my favorite PNR series when I'm looking for good humor and silliness. Yes, it's a bit raunchy and dysfunctional, but it's still..Show More » a extremely fun read. This book is about Mitch (lion shifter) and Sissy Mae (wolf shifter) - both whom you meet in earlier books. Mitch is an undercover detective about to testify against a big mafia-type badboy. He discovers that an assasin has been hired to take him out. Sissy Mae is a good friend that helps him hide out for awhile. But one thing leads to another and they begin to realize that their feelings for one another run deeper than friendship. I also love the crazy dynamics of both the pack & pride families. The supporting characters are really the best part of the book . . . although the hot sex scenes are quite delicious as well. An fabulous book, I really did love the relationship between Mitch and Sissay. You wont regret reading this series. Mitch is my Fav in the Pride series with his sexiness!!! I wasn't over the top with the first book but it's pertinent to the character& world building to this series. I am soooooo glad I continued on with each book that Audible releases. These books have potential to make you snort, lol, grin goofy, smile, and possibly blush while fanning yourself from Mitch's extreme hotness:)
I smiled all the way through this book. If you are in need of light, feel good entertainment this is the one. I truly enjoyed my time in Blayne's wo..Show More »rld. Bo and Blayne were just sweet, funny, and loveable. Blayne was like a sweet, hug-able, rabid chiwawa with the emphasis on rabid! I loved her personality. There wasn't a lot of violence, until the end. (LOL I am not including the hockey/derby action as violent) The bad guys got what was coming to them, although they weren't very developed. It was more a shifter romance than the action/shifter stories I have become used to. It was a nice change from the darker and grittier shifter stories. I liked visiting with the family :) I am looking forward to more entertaining adventures!
Ok... these books are simply awesome... I think though... they really aren't stand alone books because there are so many characters, you kinda gotta k..Show More »now where it all begins, as they keep repeating throughout these books... I seriously had to go back to book 2 just to remember why I like a character so much, because their names just sound so familiar... For instance, Ricky Lee, Ricky Reed, Vic Lee, Bobbie Ray, Missy May, Dee Reed, Mary Lou, Dee Ann... Seriously!
This one was really good, but Dee Ann, Wowza! She is one tough cookie... but I really liked it. Well worth the credit, especially if you have invested in the other stories...
Narration... there are no words... Kane is my second favorite author, and my favorite shifter books author.. .Perfect voice and perfect for this type of series!
Now... of all these Pride books I absolutely love BO and his schedule!!! This one is about another polar bea..Show More »r, who is a bit like Bo, but not as schedule... no one is like Bo! This was really great though... One thing I have learned is that Bears have a bit of OCD and they fixate on stuff... Now Crush totally was a huge hockey fan and by the way he had his house decked out with Carnivore stuff!
Now Stella, loved her! Loved her family, loved her totally bad-ass attitude... and loved her with Crush...
This is one of my favorites! So worth the credit or sale... Really pricey...so maybe not a buy!
Narration is some of the best narration out there... especially for these crazy shifter males! I do wish there was a bit more MINE in these books, like in book 1, but... I still feel satisfied at the end of the story...so, I am one happy customer. :)
Another hit from Shelly Laurenston. This series is just fun with a bunch of crazy characters, you just never know what to expect from the shifters. ..Show More »Of course this series needs to be read in order, there is just too much going on from other stories not to. Although this book is one of my favorites the romance wasn't quite as good as others, only because there wasn't as much focus on it. Of course the straight up madness of everything makes up for it. Same narrator as the rest and she does a great job.
A good addition to the series. A bit more serious than most of the books, otherwise similar to the other books which is funny and full of fun loving ..Show More »shifters. Livvy and Vic make a cute couple and as usual many of the other shifters from the other books make appearances and make quite a ruckus. Shelly Laurenston is AKA G.A. Aiken which I plan on reading/ listening to as soon as Audible gets the whole series out. As usual the narrator brings out the characters from this book.
