I listen to a TON of paranormal romance audiobooks, and I have to tell you that with few exceptions, I'm left cold. Either the story is too dry and pl..Show More »odding, or the narrator left much to be desired.
This is not the case with this series. I was immediately drawn into the story, and fell in love with the characters. I laughed a lot, teared up a little, and immediately moved on to book 2. Sophie Eastlake did a wonderful job on the narration, and they were a few times I forgot I was listening to just one person reading. I highly recommend this series, and I hope others find it as enjoyable as I!
This audiobook was so great! This is the second book in Thea Harrison's Elder Races Series and the story was great! I'm a reader who usually reads the..Show More » book first and then listens to the audiobooks of the series I truly LOVE! I decide this time to use my monthly credit on a book I had not read yet!
I think my favorite part of was how perfect the voice of Niniane was portrayed. The narrator voiced her exactly how I pictured her speaking in my head! The other characters were very well done also!
Overall, a great book worth listening too! AWESOME JOB Ms. Eastlake!! A GREAT JOB goest to Thea Harrison as well....keep them coming!!
I think this book and book #1 are my favorite in this series. I liked this book for many reasons. I like the fact that the characters were likeable a..Show More »nd interesting. Another thing that I enjoyed a lot was that the author gave you glimpses on the direction she is going to take the series. Through out the whole story their were hints of possible future book. Which involved my mind even more.
Their were a lot of unanswered question that will be answered in other books in series. If you are not patience to wait for the answers...this might not be the book for you. I don't think this book could be taken as a stand a lone. So I recommend that you start in the beginning.
They are sexy men...(of course there is its Thea Harrison Book). There is a lot Fantasy taken in different point view. ( I have read other books with Djinn and they were never portrayed like this. They are always unfeeling spirit creatures with no forms. Not at all lip biting sexy Kid loving males.)
I also love the female heroine struggles with being Oracle. The author give the character just enough whin but she did not make her a whinier. Some author over do in that area.
