I listen to about a book a week on my iPhone...doing errands...walking the dogs etc.
Usually people think I am listening to music but with th..Show More »is book I laughed out loud...really chuckled. Jill Shalvis does dialogue like very few other romance authors...and this is no exception!
Second in the series of Lucky Harbor. The first two are narrated by the same person who does a nice job with continuity of characters voices (and southern accents (which are often butchered in audio books.
Because of the humour, the pace and the narration I would say this is one of the few books that is better as an audio book...just be warned it may cause embarrassment laughing in strange places!
I've enjoyed this series a lot although I've read it out of order due to my issues with the different narrators used for each book. Chloe is the free ..Show More »spirited sister and the only one raised by their mother. Sawyer is the by-the-book sheriff and reformed bad boy. This is an opposites attract story.
This book is entertaining, sweet, hot and a great addition to the series. And this time the narrator El Suehyla is very good. she really compliments the story and makes the experience very enjoyable.
I have about 100 audiobooks and most of them are romance stories. This one has now become my number one favorite romance audiobook. It made me smile, ..Show More »it made me cry, it made me feel butterflies... WOW! I loved every second. The story is very romantic and both of the main characters are nice. The narrator did a very good job too. This book is a must listen for anyone who enjoys a feel good hot romance story.
This is another case where I'm not sure if they story was bad or the narrator just made a good story bad. I've had good books that a bad narrator kil..Show More »led, this may be one of them. The chemistry between Amy and Matt wasn't that great and I got to the point where I didn't care and wanted it just to be over. Save your Audible credit and read this one.
I Debated for a long minute on whether to get this book or not because Erin Bennett is the narrator (same as the previous book) and I really disliked ..Show More »her performance on that previous book. But a Jill Shalvis book is as irresistible as a warm brownie. This story just melted my heart like hot fudge. It was sweet, sexy and believeable. I can't believe the chocaholics trilogy is over! I sure hope there are more Lucky Harbor stories to come.
I am happy to report that Ms. Bennett got significantly better as a narrator. I still think that there isn't much difference between female and male characters (voices) but she did add the intensity and emotion that the story required. I really enjoyed the whole story, fell in love with that little Jedi warrior, the annoying puppy and the fabulous ending!! I highly recommend it!
