I struggle with angel fiction, but this book doesn't deal with regular angels. These have no connection with God. They are evil parasites that feed on..Show More » human energy leaving people drained, diseased, and mentally unstable. They don't come from Heaven. They come from a dying world in a different dimension. Willow is half angel. Alex is an "Angel Killer." So, of course, they fall in love, after initially hating each other. They join forces to fight the Angel Invasion. Willow is sort of the one person in the whole world who can destroy them, but we don't know why. It's better than it sounds and the romance is sweet. There will be more to the story. Why doesn't anyone ever write solitary books anymore?
I loved the first installment in this series, "Angel Burn," and have been anxiously awaiting the sequel. I read "Angel Fire" as an ebook, then bought..Show More » the audiobook and just spent this past weekend enjoying every minute of this story again. GREAT book, and I thought this narrator did an excellent job with the characters. I especially enjoyed Seb, a new character in this second book. I thought he added a lot to the plot, and I can't wait to see how she wraps up his arc in the final installment of this trilogy!
