Jonathan is not the strongest young man in his home village. That would be his older brother Jason. He isn't the tallest, best looking, or funniest either. Again, that would be Jason. He is better than most in the village at archery, though. He is an excellent hunter, and can perform more trick shots than anyone else with amazing accuracy. Well, he is almost better than anyone else. Jason has him beat there too. Jonathan doesn't mind though, he and his older brother share a deep bond that connects them.
"Its a simple way to waste some time"
In the middle of his arduous training in Kuldiga Academy, Erik Lokton discovers that he is destined to become more than a mere knight. His inexperienced eyes are forced open as demons and evil creatures that had previously only haunted his nightmares awaken, and old feuds boil to the surface once more. However, Erik lacks the discipline of a seasoned knight, and despite his growing knowledge of the dark forces at work in his world, his curiosity and headstrong ways get him into trouble.
"it's an okay book"
Young Kyra is destined for four years of sorcery training at Kuldiga Academy. After that she will be wed to the man her father has chosen for her and embark upon the perfectly respectable and confining life of a noblewoman in the Middle Kingdom, something she never wanted. But, when Kyra's mother is murdered by strange creatures, she is thrust into a world of demons and magic before she is ready.
Tu'luh is dead. Erik must now hurry to find the Immortal Mystic so he can unlock the mysteries contained within the Infinium and destroy Nagar's magic. Meanwhile, the orcs are battering down the gates at Ten Forts. Will Lepkin and the others succeed in fending off the orcs long enough for Erik to reach the Immortal Mystic?
Tu'luh the Red has revealed himself and struck the first blow. Though Erik and his friends managed to drive him away, time is running short. The dragon now raises his army in its full strength and is preparing to march upon the Middle Kingdom. With Master Lepkin awakened from his coma, Erik must swiftly resume his training if he is to have any hope of facing the dragon down. All the while, the more Erik learns about the dangers he is facing, the better he understands that simply defeating Tu'luh is not enough.
Still reeling from the intense attacks at Valtuu Temple and Lokton Manor, Erik's family and allies are caught up in the full swing of the plan started by the warlocks of the Order of the All Seeing Eye. The warlock Gondok'hr, masquerading as Senator Bracken, is on his way to arrest Erik's father and present him before a senate tribunal to stand trial for treason as part of the order's treacherous scheme for power in the kingdom.
Bearing the scars of defeat, Erik must now race to protect his home from the powerful enemies that have declared war on his family. Outnumbered and outmatched, he must hold off the advancing horde until help arrives. To fail would bring the destruction of the Middle Kingdom, and all that he holds dear. Meanwhile, Al must finally deal with his brother Threnton, king of the dwarves of Roegudok Hall, if he is to have any chance to restore the Keeper of Secrets and help Erik survive the impending onslaught.
"Better than a 2 star, but not quite a 3 star."
