When I was a child, I hated the sound of crickets. I found their chirping loud and crude, and they were making it harder for me to sleep at night. But, since I was living in the countryside, there was no escaping the cricket’s songs in summer. I have never been a person who can find peace, not even in the calm of my own home. When I am alone, all I think about is the life that could be outside and how it’s always better than what I’m experiencing now.
