Cris De Niro worked his way up to the top of the hedge fund world. Yet, all of his money couldn't protect him from losing his wife on 9/11. Ten years passed since the tragedy. De Niro and his sons relocated to a sprawling ranch near Las Vegas. Turning to his faith to overcome his anguish, De Niro now lives for a higher purpose. From a biblical passage, he reads about the "Watchman of Ephraim", a defender who kept watch over the land. De Niro decides to acquire a lackluster counter-terrorism agency.

A U.S. scientist assigned to a CIA-run, covert, overseas assignment goes missing. Meanwhile, while in Manhattan to ring the NY Stock Exchange bell, Cris De Niro is asked by the scientist's father, a childhood friend of his, to investigate. De Niro and The Watchman Agency soon uncover a secret Iranian-Russian alliance with deadly intentions. Iranian bio-terrorism, Russian espionage reaching into the White House, and the prospect of Iran emerging as a nuclear power are the threats.
Former hedge fund manager, billionaire Cris De Niro and his new counter-terrorism firm, The Watchman Agency, just prevented a nuclear attack on the city of Las Vegas, but not without cost. Charley Santappia, the Agency's vice president of operations sacrificed his life to save the city. While at Santappia's funeral, a remorse-filled De Niro announces to his shocked staff that he needs to decide whether he wants to continue with their mission.
