Glad I found this.

I enjoyed this very much. The acting was brilliant, the story was brilliant, and the premise was also, brilliant. It didn’t miss any chances to throw in the usual “straight white men” wokeness crap, but having our intrepid hero be a black man could make for “interesting” situations in pre 1960’s western society. All the same, loved it!

Great story

The story is well told but the nuance of jumping shouldn’t have been so… easy. Half the time I’m thinking there should be way more people with the ability. Acting was really good anyway and can’t wait for more.

I loved this series!

This isn’t my first experience with a full cast, completely submersible experience so I was prepared. As with most I’ve found, there are moments, especially in fight scenes, where it’s hard to picture exactly what’s going on. But I love the story and have no complaints about the audio. Maybe other people have sensitive ears or aren’t using expensive headphones like I do, but none of the noises hurt my ears. I know that in the past when I’ve listened without headphones it makes a big difference. It’s sometimes hard to hear what going on, sounds are quieter/louder, etc. So when listening to this type of story I always use headphones.

I see that some people didn’t like the “cliff hanger” ending but I have no problem with it. I’ve read books that truly do just end mid story and this isn’t one of them. Like literally, midstory. If you think this does, you better hope you don’t ever read/listen to some other others that I have, that have left me furious because the main problem is never actually resolved in any way, shape or form. This ending uses the very common idea of an ending that leaves room for future installments. The main plot line is semi-resolved so I’m good. There is some closure but it ends in a way to start a sequel if they’d like. This is not uncommon for books or movies. I would definitely listen to a sequel but I’m satisfied with this ending if there isn’t more. Since this was just released a few weeks ago I feel like they will continue the story if this gets enough of a following.

I thought the negative comments some people made about the anti-American undertones and the reference to the Jan 6th capital building attack to be hilarious. As an American I am not offended at all by the few BRIEF times we are mentioned. All countries/governments have issues and we should be able to take it with a grain of salt. The antagonist in this story is very clearly the Russians, which is an overused trope, so if anyone should be offended it’s them. The brief mentions of the US are only going to offend the sensitive souls out there. It’s a fictional piece of work, and the references aren’t even that bad, get over it.

Overall, I like that it wasn’t bogged down with too much science and you just kind of go with it. Makes for some fun easy reading/listening. None of the characters annoyed me, which is rare, and it was thoroughly engaging. I liked it so much I binged and listened to the entire series all at once. I would highly recommend this.
