There is an “Illusion of Success” that the world is getting caught up in. We are looking at the people around us through social media and media wanting and wishing for someone else’s life. We yearn for someone else’s successes instead of sitting down and thinking about what our goals in life are and what would make our life happy.

Monica and Burton discuss a list of tips that you can follow to help change your definition of success.

1.      Take time to look back at your achievements. Pat yourself on the back- Look at the view and enjoy it.

2.      Analyze your competition globally and locally and realize how far you have come.

3.      Help others succeed. Be a good person.

4.      Be excited for others' success instead of doing the comparison game.

5.      You cannot be everything to everyone. It is ok if not everyone likes you.

6.      Success is not just measured by your business but in your marriage, relationships, friends, children, and health.

7.      Celebrate your successes!

Both Monica and Burton agree that in life the best way to be successful is to contribute to the success of others and to take care of yourself to the best of your abilities. Think about what you value and think is success and continue on that pathway so you can live a full life.
