Publisher's summary

Ireland—a land of magic and fantasy, of fierce warrior kings and fairy mounds . . . and, of course, vampires who've been around for nearly as long as those beguiling fey.

Brilliant and ambitious, Quinn Kavanagh was aiming for the top, even before he was turned. But now, as a powerful vampire lord, he's driven by the demands of his blood, compelled to conquer and destroy, to defeat Ireland's criminal ruler, and make the territory a better place for all its vampires and humans alike.

Smart and beautiful, Eve Connelly was a graduate student with life's endless possibilities stretched out before her. She knew nothing of vampires and didn't care . . . until she watched two of them murder her beloved brother. Now she's driven, too. But she doesn't want to help Ireland's vampires—she just wants to kill them.

Bound together by love and hate, Quinn and Eve will risk everything to bring down the bloody regime of Ireland's current vampire ruler. But in order to find revenge for Eve and the ultimate power for Quinn, they first have to learn to trust each other. And that might be the most dangerous thing of all . . .

Contains mature themes.

🌻Slow, at first!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻

I have enjoyed every book, in this series and every book in the original series that this one was a spin off of. However, this one started off a bit slower than the previous books.

After the slow start, it became much more exciting; with passion, action and intrigue.

My biggest complaint, however, was the narration. Julio Maxwell performed the male voices, fairly well but, the female voices were awful. He sounded like a male adolescent, with a cold. Adding a female narrator and adding true duet, narration, could have made this audio book, so much better.

I wish more producers and/or authors would get the message and add duet narration to all their productions. It could change audios from entertainment to an experience!

Love this series!

Enjoy rereading and even better when I can binge listen. Waiting for the next in the series, and hope Lachlan, Xavier and the novellas will become available on audible next.

Good, but . . . .

D.B. Reynolds' Vampires in America is one of my favorite paranormal series. I am not as enamored of the Europe series even though Ms. Reynolds does a great job shifting to the European world by connecting the two series in the beginning of "Quinn." Characters from Rajmund move with Quinn to Ireland in his bid to take over as lord there. And, naturally, Raphael was mentioned here and there. I enjoyed this book when I read it but struggled with the narrator as I listened. Generally, I liked his voice but his often smirky, smug, snarky tone irritated. And as I did not appreciate the female protagonist at all I really did not like her voice with the narration. So, about 4 stars for me.

Well I enjoyed it!

I love this series. I is a good addition to the story and moves the overall arc forward. I enjoy this narrator. Some narrators ruin a story. This one adds to it!

Excellent

Why the narrator change for the last 2 books? I like this man, but when I listen to the series all the way through it’s Nick Russo for all the others. He’s the voice I expect to hear and I go about 3 chapters before I get used to this new one. Lol. Anyhow it’s a fantastic series when will the others hit audio. I count on them so I can can do 2 things at once. I need more !!!!
