Publisher's summary

A “beautiful, inspiring, and important” (Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Prize Laureate) final book from the legendary leadership expert, Stephen R. Covey, internationally bestselling author of the classic The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Stephen R. Covey spent his long and storied career inspiring millions of individuals to make their lives more effective, compassionate, and meaningful. Near the end of his life, Covey felt there was a final component to his work: How do you live your best life no matter your age?

Live Life in Crescendo is Covey’s directive to live life in crescendo, meaning to continually grow in contribution, learning, and influence. In the same way that music builds on previous notes but leaves us anticipating the next note, a life builds on the past but unfolds in the future. The Crescendo Mentality urges you to use whatever you have—your time, talents, skills, resources, gifts, passion, money, influence—to enrich the lives of people around you, including your family, neighborhood, community, and the world.

Cowritten with his daughter, Cynthia Covey Haller, and published posthumously, Live Life in Crescendo is a life-changing and life-affirming book that will “inspire you to dream bigger and bolder” (Adam Grant, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Think Again) and befits the generosity and wisdom of the late Stephen R. Covey.

Dear Listener,

What do I hope you take away from Live Life in Crescendo?
My father, Stephen Covey, and I began writing this audiobook as a father/daughter duo. After he passed away, I wanted to be a "faithful translator" of his belief that you can create a new, bright future for yourself at any age or stage of life. As you listen, we hope you discover more joy, fulfillment, and purpose by practicing these three main ideas
First, you must choose to keep growing, learning, improving, and contributing throughout your life. Second, believe that "your most important work is still ahead of you," even as you move forward from mistakes and initiate needed changes. Third, as you see the needs of others, respond and act by sharing your unique capabilities and resources, and always remember that "life is about contribution." – Cynthia Covey Haller, writer of Live Life in Crescendo

Love the title!

I love the title! One can just sit and ponder how “Live Life in Crescendo” applies to one’s own life.

The book is good. I felt that it speaks especially to mid-lifers and older. I felt that much of the verbiage was repetitive. Seemed to be a bit of a tribute to her father and somewhat her mother as well.

Fantastic!!! Inspiring!!

Incredibly inspiring book from my amazing mom!!! Although I’ve heard the stories in this book my entire life, her articulate way of telling them inspired me once again! Highly recommend for anyone looking for inspiration.

An Amazing Listen!

An amazing listen! This is the kind of book I will refer to all my life. Living a life in crescendo means your best work is always ahead of you (instead of behind you), which is such a hopeful and relevant message and one that inspires me to continue contributing. The stories are abundant and meaningful—from people all over the world and from all walks of life. You are never too old to make a difference for good. I loved listening to this book!

A great book—like Dr. Covey was back

An excellent book with great narration by Dr. Stephen Covey’s daughter. I bought this after hearing a preview on the Art of Manliness podcast, and I am so glad I did!
