Karen is a New York Times bestselling author with Proverbs 31 Ministries as well as a writer for Encouragement For Today, an online devotional that reaches over four million readers daily. She is also a contributing teacher for the First 5 app, a Bible-study tool with over two million users and a columnist with HomeLife Magazine. She has authored twenty books including KEEP IT SHUT: What to Say, How to Say It and When to Say Nothing at All and the ECPA 2020 book of the year Settle My Soul: 100 Quiet Moments to Meet with Jesus. She has been featured on numerous media outlets including TODAY Parenting, Fox News, Redbook, Crosswalk, and the You Version app. Karen has been married for over a quarter-century to her college sweetheart Todd and is the mom of six--three bio kids and their spouses by marriage, although she forgets which are which. She is also Grandma Kit to the adorable Jasper Ridge. She resides in central Michigan where she enjoys collecting vintage Pyrex dishes, strolling area farm markets, and processing life with all who gather around her mid-century dining room table for a taste of Mama Karen's county fair, blue ribbon-winning cooking. Her greatest desire is to help women to live their priorities and love their lives, reflecting the gospel as they do.
