Publisher's summary

After a black witch pitched a hissy fit in Hollis Apothecary, Rue got stuck cleaning up his mess. That was the easy part. Repairing the damage he inflicted on Camber and Arden? That makes Rue wish she could bring him back to life just to kill him again. Slower this time.

While Rue is setting her new life back to rights, Clay and Asa are off working a case, but it soon becomes clear that they'll need her help to catch the vicious creature preying on locals in a small Tennessee town. She's got her hands full at home, but Rue has no choice. She must report for duty to honor her agreement with the director. Or else.

What she discovers leads her deeper down the rabbit hole of Black Hat Bureau corruption and promises that, no matter how grim the past few weeks have been, the worst is yet to come.

Contains mature themes.

She’s at it again!

Watching Rue and crew working together on a new case was a lot of fun. There were a few “oh heck no” moments. A few dozen, okay so maybe about 50 laughs; most of which are thanks to Colby and Asa.

Black Hat has once again recruited Rue to help on a weird case. A Wendigo, black magic and a whole lot of “wtf” makes for a big set back. But did you except any different? I sure as heck didn’t!! Where’s the fun in that?

All in all, this was a great read and I can’t wait to dive into the next book!

Good sequel

It's not as good as the first one but I did enjoy it.
This book, just like the last one, is light with good world building and interesting characters, but this one is very heavy on the Rue/Ace romance blossoming, and I like the very slow burn along with the backstories telling why they all are who they are.
The books are a little short but entertaining.
The narrator does a good job even though she does get the voices mixed up a little here and there.
Overall, I liked this book and I will be getting the next one as well.

Great redemption story love the characters!

I love Black Arts, White Craft it as well written and I love that one selfless act changed the course of a Black Witch to choose to become white. I didn’t care much for the Demon mating ritual Angie it’s a tad childish and was mentioned so much it became tiresome. However, everything else about the book was fantastic and I loved the plot and storyline! Highly recommend it m.

From existing Supper Natural to boring love story

Book one was a great super natural mystery story, book two changed that story to be a super natural romance novel. Not at all what I wanted or expected based on book one. I couldn't even finish this book.
