Heartwarming

My best friend has raved about this book for years and I finally picked it up. I'm so glad that I did! This is a refreshing love story with unique obstacles that both Laura and Isaiah both face. This a feel good read that you won't regret reading.

I wish I could give 5 stars.

Laura is really a great heroine. This book is my first Ms. Catherine Anderson's book. I read a translated printed version several years ago and I remember I was pretty disappointed because there wasn't an audio version in Audible then. I am very glad that it is now available in Audible now and I finished listening to it.
I was so impressed with Laura that she had started her life anew, without clinging to her lost achievement both the last time reading and this time listening. She never stops enjoying her life and challenging difficulties. So I didn't want her to give in to a stupid, shallow, unfair opinion of someone other than she really loved and trusted. It seemed she cared about Isaiah's future and I am sure that she did but rather, she didn't want to suffer another prejudice and a lack of understanding, I think. It is understandable that she backed off but I wanted her to keep faith in herself. This is why I didn't and couldn't rate this book as 5-star.
Nevertheless, I liked this book very much and it is sure that this is one of Ms. Anderson's best books. The puppies are so cute. I think dogs and kids are essential to her books. Thank you very much for a wonderful book.

Added Sunshine to my day

I've read the book more than once, and this is my first time listening to it on audio. My Sunshine is my favorite in the Coulter/Kendrick series. I love Isaiah and Laura's love story. I also really loved and appreciated that she wasn't a picture-perfect heroine, and she had a lot of internal struggles due to her disability. The pacing was great, and the voices were spot on, especially Laura's. She sounds exactly as I had imagined in my head. This tale is truly a sweet love story, and I would listen to it again. A great road trip or on the beach read.

Enjoyed the story. Ms Anderson's books are always good. One of my favorite authors. Don't always care for the narration.

Wonderful

I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, but this was my favorite so far. Love the way the author has continued to bring in the characters from the other books.

I liked the story and I have heard this narrator so many times I have gotten used to her make voices. At least there is a differ

I knew the story had to end as it did. I like following the familial characters from book to book.

Isaiah and Laura

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

'Bright Eyes' by Catherine Anderson, book 6 in the Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series. Audible Premium Plus borrow. Dual POV. It's listed as 12 hours 17 minutes. I listened for 4 hours 55 minutes at speed 2.50. Narrator Suzanne Toren is easy to understand and has a nice pace. How has one family been effected by so many disabilities? Content warnings: v¡rg¡n h; crazy employee; injury and death of pets at a veterinary clinic; h has aphasia caused by a head injury she sustained five years ago while swimming; and an attempted murder.

Date: ends January 8, 2005
Location: Crystal Falls, OR

Isaiah Joel Coulter (33) and Laura Townsend (31) get their HEA and are celebrating their wedding in the epilogue. Belinda is the villain. The story was good it just didn't hold my attention. There are updates on all the previous couples, and Mary, Isaiah's mom, is already plotting how she will marry off Tucker, Isaiah's twin. JP

2 out of 5 on my spice scale.
