Publisher's summary

Security specialist Bowen Knight has come back from the dead. But there's a ticking time bomb in his head: a chip implanted to block telepathic interference that could fail at any moment - taking his brain along with it. With no time to waste, he should be back on land helping the Human Alliance. Instead, he's at the bottom of the ocean, consumed with an enigmatic changeling...

Kaia Luna may have traded in science for being a chef, but she won't hide the facts of Bo's condition from him or herself. She's suffered too much loss in her life to fall prey to the dangerous charm of a human who is a dead man walking. And she carries a devastating secret Bo could never imagine...

But when Kaia is taken by those who mean her deadly harm, all bets are off. Bo will do anything to get her back - even if it means striking a devil's bargain and giving up his mind to the enemy...

Bowen Knight's story

At first I wasn't too sure how I felt about Kaia. But as I got to know her, I began to understand her better and see that she was just perfect for Bo. It was nice to finally see a solution to the Alliance chip. Loved the ending.

Nalini just gets better and better at tugging the heart strings. I found this to be a very moving story, with love and forgiveness, strength to protect running all through it.

Good story.

Kai and Bo have a story that adds to the mystique of the human psy changeling world that Ms Singh has built. The story has action, intrigue and romance. What you have come to expect from this author.

a BlackSea Changeling-Human Alliance story

Best enjoyed if you’ve been following the series, but might interest you to check out the other books if this is new to you.
The Publisher’s Summary for this book gives a general overview, but is a little misleading. At the end of Silver Silence, Bowen is shot protecting his sister Lily when she is targeted. When Bowen’s initial medical treatments stall, Lily makes arrangements with the Black Sea Changelings to “kidnap” Bowen as a test subject for Dr Adelina’s new treatment. She’s trying to halt decline of the chip implanted in his brain to block telepaths from digging into the human mind. To save the other humans with chips, he volunteers himself for her treatment and the chip removal, at great risk to himself. Bowen can’t stop his instant attraction to Kaia; there’s a limited timeline before the chip fails. It’s the same for Kaia, even knowing humans were involved in the disappearance of BlackSea Changelings.
Investigation proves traitors in both camps, and the Consortium continues to slip away.
Dawe does a good job of narration.

Oceans Light (Book Two in Trilogy)

Oceans Light (Book Two in Trilogy)
Kaia and Bowen is not as rocky of a romance as Silver and her Bear shifter in book one, but still an interesting couple. The reader can feel the layed back Polynesian flavor of this world setting, and the shifters that call it home. The anxiety levels Kaia deal with and struggles to over come, is real and well written. I personally love the grandmother and jumped for joy as my favorite telaporter made a brief appearance.
