The highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster—now a major motion picture!

Can you love someone too much?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

I had read Beautiful Disaster several times before the audio came out. Once I had the audio I listened to that several times. I had fallen in Love with the story and characters from the very first read. So, when I heard Walking Disaster was coming out I was all on board and counting down. This book/audiobook is the same story but absolutely different at the same time. I loved finding out what exactly was going through Travis' head and knowing the male perspective during certain situations. I also delighted in knowing what was going on during scenes Abby wasn't around for. All the scenes between Travis, Shep and America just rounded out the whole story and gave you a better perspective on Travis' character.

For those of you who haven't read the first book, I highly recommend reading Beautiful Disaster First. So, really quick, This book is about two people, Abby and Travis, who both have damaged pasts. The odds of them getting together and making it last are against them. Their hurricane love story takes you through a whirlwind of emotions and slams you into a wall or two during it's tumultuous ride.

I have only two semi-negative comments. One, while Dan Bittner did an awesome job narrating, I still had a preconception of Travis' voice being a little more rough or tough; and during intense emotional times of the story, I felt his voice should have given more of that inner turmoil, on the brink of breaking kind of vibe. Second, I am going to be perfectly honest. Beautiful Disaster is still my favorite between the two and continues to be on my favorites list.

With that being said, I loved this book and absolutely recommend it. Two thumbs up to Jamie McGuire. A definate must have companion to Beautiful Disaster!

I LOVED this follow up to Beautiful Disaster! I thought hearing the inner thoughts of Travis pulled the pieces of their love story together...and I thought the author did a great job of telling the same story, yet not being repetitive. Unlike other reviewers, I enjoyed replaying specific scenes (not all of the scenes) but hearing the other side of the story...isn't that what we all want - to know what the other person is thinking?

I really loved the writing as well., specifically the dialogues - between Sheply and Travis, Pigeon and Travis, America and Sheply..I thought the author did a great job of really making it feel like we were there at college with them - just the right amount of cussing and drinking (all things that happen in college) without it being too much. And the narrator was FABULOUS!! Wow...he really brought Travis Maddox to life for me...I felt every emotion that he felt - it is amazing how much difference a narrator can make to an audiobook.

I highly recommend this book, but I would read Beautiful Disaster first.

Any additional comments?

Great story of girl meets the local bad boys and falls head over heels for him. The first book had me hooked and I was so excited about this one. This book actually recounts almost all of the same events in the first book but from the male character, Travis Maddox, point of view. We get an in depth look into his mind to understand the events that occurred in the first book. I've listened to other books that try to do the same concept and fail, but this book does the best job.

Girl meets bad boy & falls in love

Most of the book was a rewrite of beautiful disaster. Which I expected but the author left out a lot of scenes that I wish I knew more about. You learn a little more though about their life individually and together

Really similar to beautiful disaster but more story

This was a good story but I think it was a different spin sometimes of how the story could have went instead of just from Travis's point of view. I liked how things went in the abby version better. Still good and I liked the epilogue of his future.

Different twist.
