"I think this book is a five star book..."
I was waiting for The Darkest Secret to come out and I must say that it was worth the wait, I finished this book in the first two days of down loading, Gena Showalter Does such a wonderful job with the characters, I had such a hard time putting my Ipod down, If you are like me and have liked the Dark Series you will want to read this book,
Happy listening,
"Max Bellmore is fantastic!"
I am horribly picky when it comes to audiobooks, and I hate about 90% of the narrators. Max Bellmore is NOT one of them! He could make a cereal box interesting! Combine him with a genuinely good book, and you have an audiobook worth your money!
I used to be an avid reader of Romance novels. I usually preferred the Harlequin & Silhouette series''. I would read several books a day over the summer and several a week during school months. I took a long break as an adult but have gotten back to it this year and am very much enjoying my Audible experience. So far I still really like general Romance but have found a real unexpected joy in Supernatural & Paranormal Romances.
"A bit stranger than others in the series"
But not in a bad way. I enjoyed this book as much as I have all the others and continue to be impressed by both Gena Showalter and Max Bellmore. I've read each of these in order and wouldn't recommend doing it any other way. Each story builds on the previous and you get introduced to each character as they come into the world. It makes it easier to keep them all straight if you get to know them that way.
"Great Great Great"
Gena Showalter and Max Bellmore, you cant get better than this. This mans voice could melt butter. lol Great book.
"This one was a bit different"
I LOVE Gena Showalter and "The Lords of the Underworld" series. I enjoyed this book but it wasn't my favorite one either. As usuall Max Bellmore is fantastic as the narrator.
Believer in what you can't see
"Secrets revealed"
Yes, but just a little. The story is very good and the audio just makes it stand out.
Darkest Lies and Darkest Seduction, because both stories emphasize just how important the woman are to these man. It also show more camaraderie and understanding within the couples.
Excellent as always
Secrets Revealed
This series reminds me a little of Christine Feehan's Dark Series.
Too many books, so little time. 5 stars=Great, 4 stars=Good, 3 stars=Okay, 2 stars= Sucked, 1 star=Awful.
"It's no secret, this book is great."
As noted on the previous audiobooks, I have been enjoying this series. Not my favorite but defiantly good enough for me to listen to the whole series, short stories are fun too. Favorite in the series is still The Darkest Kiss. Must be read in order to enjoy it fully. Recommend author Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series or Nalini Singh Psy-Changling series both awesome.
I'd rather listen than read!!!! This is my joy!!!
"Loving this Series Again"
I loved the vunerability of Amun. I really loved the fact that he's a Lord yet he is vulnerable for the first half of the book and yet he's fair and extremely patient.
I loved Max Bellmore and his narration. He brought about a great cadence. Each character had a different identity and and it was easy to identify each.
I loved the fact the the trials that Amun and Haidee went through ended up teaching them a lesson at the very end. It also left you with a sense of suspense when you think one thing and yet the author allows you to be satiated at the very end.
I recommend this book and I also recommend that you read these books in order.
I love losing myself in books of any kind
"I love the Series... this was just OK"
Yes, I am really enjoying the series. These couple of books I've read in the series have not been my favorite. Though Darkest Passion was the worse, Darkest Secret, while not bad just kind of seem to lose focus. The whole story seemed like the author was kind of brainstorming without a true direction.
I really want to finish the series as I need to know what will happen to Paris, William and Torren. Just hope it gets back on track. Seems to have been rambling with Secrets.
Like the dialogue between Defeat and the Harpee.
Nah... I don't think I could take it.
"Another good book in this series!"
Max Bellmore does a great job narrating these books!! He does an excellent job on the female voices as well.
