Merit, Chicago's newest vampire, is learning how to play well with others. Other supernaturals, that is. Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit.

A good story that is well written. Tense situations but with a sneaky sense of hunor.

Love the stories and the narrator, but I have a hard time with her changing the pronunciations of certain words across different books and sometimes in the same boom.

The story is too good for that to be a problem.

It was sort of hard to follow for me at the first but that was my fault. It's such a good series and very definitely worth your time. Narrator is really good.

I have read and listened to a lot of different vampire series and this series is definitely in my top five. The story line is wonderful, the narrator is excellent, and the characters are fun. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out in August. I have already listened to this series a few times and will continue to do so. 5 stars.

ok so the characters are growing on me. the story doesn't seem to develop as quickly as I like and the sex scenes aren't that juicy. but its ok.

you won't be bored! The characters have actual development. often writers tell us everything and then we can predict the actions a character will take. This series allows the reader to discover the character in the moment of changes, of development. It's a refreshing balance without exhaustive, cringe worthy inner monologues.

I love this series! I don’t enjoy the narration. The storyline is fantastic even without the excessive steamy scenes of other stories.
