Clint and Bethany’s carefully crafted working relationship unites a grieving son wanting answers for his father’s death and the beautiful daughter of the mastermind behind the financial deception that cost him his life. What starts out as an undercover operation on the island of Maui to discover the truth leads to a steamy and compelling emotional relationship between Clint and Bethany. I liked their chemistry, the exploration of Bethany’s mixed feelings about her father, and Clint’s struggle to reconcile his need for answers as he falls deeper in love with her. After following the stories of Bethany’s four half siblings I was intrigued as to the rest of the story. The author’s expertise at spinning a suspense filled storyline kept me guessing as to Bethany’s guilt or innocence and the narration performance of Christian Fox was quite entertaining.

I luv books written by Shayla Black when read by Christian Fox. This one was quite charming. I enjoyed the way MMC patiently supported the FMC through her traumas. The FMC is also an intelligent , independent, and capable person, which liked. I also enjoyed cameos by the Reed family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a quick and interesting read. This storyline was interesting and you can’t help but feel for both characters. So glad that the found their happy ending

Another great read that I really enjoyed listening to! Clint is set on getting revenge for the death of his father and the lost money that his father had invested. He target is Beth, who was an investors at the company. Beth flees to Hawaii to regroup and spend some time with her half siblings. Clint is hot on her tail after hearing she was hiding there until everything blows over.
The author did a beautiful job of depicting the grief, I felt the characters were believable and I enjoyed listening to them fall in love. The only complaint is that I wish there was a female voice for the main character, all of the women sounded the same.
Overall a great read. really enjoyed and would still recommend!

Aside from the manipulation lies and treachery, I actually like this book. I enjoyed it content. I always enjoy listening to Christian Fox, narrate stories, and I especially like the characters. This is an ongoing saga that I really enjoy as twins into each and every book. Hopefully I’ll be able to read the next one.

This book had more angst than the rest of the book in this series. Although it's part of a series, you ain't have to read the rest of the books to enjoy this one.

Clint and Bethany’s story was a tough one from the start. After his dad loses all his money to Bethany’s dad’s Financial Investment firm Clint is out for revenge. After hearing from his buddy that Bethany is in Maui, he travels to Hawaii to get his pound of flesh. Expecting to find a cold-hearted bitch, he finds something completely different. Instead of finding revenge he finds his heart.
This was a book that had me holding my breath and then jumping for joy. Beautifully performed by Christian Fox.

Another hit in Shayla Black’s more than words series! Here Shayla takes a seemingly simple plot and makes it so much more. Misdirected revenge turned inside out! We get more of the dysfunctional turned lovingly functional Reed clan, which is always awesome! Ms Black delivers lots and lots of feels, as always, and sucks you in so you don’t want to leave...ever! Do yourself a favor, start at the beginning of the series with More Than Want You. You’ll be thrilled you did!💖
PS Christian Fox’s narration is completely enthralling!💖

The Reed Family series has been my favorite! And this book did not disappoint either. I won’t give anything away in my review…just to say, you’ll enjoy Bethany’s story as well.

Not my favorite MMC or storyline line and maybe for that reason I didn’t enjoy this story as much. Just thought the MMC was went in for way too long especially considering their personal development along the way. Felt for the FMC but glad her story evolved. I’m usually all about a HEA ending but this one I wasn’t sold.
