Frankie

I thought alien abductions only happened in movies. But here I am on a strange planet with green soil and a gang of muscled, wicked-horned aliens on hover bikes. All I want to do is go back to Earth, but the alpha male in charge has decided I belong to him. Now I'm on the back of his bike speeding to an unknown destination and super freaked out about liking his biceps and serious scowl. Good thing I have some banked personal days, because this might take awhile....

Daz

The job is supposed to be easy. All I have to do is deliver a spaceship of living cargo to the vile Uldani and they'll release my brother. If I fail, they'll take it out on him. Except the cargo is something I've never seen before - human females. The one called Frankie is beautiful and soft, and I've already spilled blood for her. Now how am I going to save my brother? Because this human female is mine.

Contains mature themes.

Better Than I Thought

Once you hear that all the females have died, I figured... ok, typical alien trope, but as the story developed you see more and more substance to it. Yes, there is sex, but it doesn't go into too much detail as some erotic sci-fi I've listened to or read. Bummer for me, because I love that stuff, but there was just enough to be sexy. The narration was very good as well. Trying to pronounce an author's made up language, or purposefully mispronouncing English based on what an alien might hear was done very well. I would have given it five stars if the other characters descriptions weren't thrown at us at once. By the end of the book, I didn't have a clue which was which other than the grumpy one, or the silent one, etc. Once the whole series is available to listen, it will all clear up for me, I'm sure, or when I relisten, which I know I will. Worth getting? yes.

Ignore the Whitesnake 80s hair band cover art

Thank goodness for sales to entice me to take chances because it got me past the cringey cover art. The cover makes Daz look like he’s got scales, stringy horns, and scraggly hair… which did not say sexy at all. Looking at the other covers, everyone looks reptilian and sketchy. Also, all the lead aliens oddly have monosyllabic names (Daz, Sax, Drak, Ward,…)

Turns out these are exactly the type of sassy and hawt alien romance books I love. I want sexy alphas and firecracker Earth gals. I want to get right to the camp, action, and naughty nookie. At first, I was worried at the number of F bombs, but this fades quickly (replaced by alien “fleck” and “flecking,” and not too often). The naughty bits are a tad focused on the oral stuff, but I dug the dirty talk.

I don’t care for alien romance where the “good” aliens do the abducting (Grim/Tornians stretched the dubious consent idea passed my tolerance) or that go too far into mama drama (The Lasaran skeeved me out with the early pregnancy nookie). I also like the story-to-nookie ratio here (as opposed to Grace Goodwin’s Interstellar Brides series that’s 90% nookie and 10% plot); although the nookie is strong with this one (4-6 scenes), there’s a surprising amount of story that’s quite entertaining.

I want fun, frisky and fiery. For comparison, other series that sizzle for me:
🔥💥💥💥 My current favorite series is the Accidental Alien Brides series by January Bell.
Guaranteed laughs, minimum angst and maximum fun.
🔥This series reminds me of Ice Planet Barbarians, with fated mates and hunky blue aliens with horns, tales, and extra knobs on the knobs 😜 Like that series, the hunks here are honorable warriors.
🔥This series also shares plots in common with The Clecanians, like the idea of mate-marks and a species in dire need of women. Each book in that series is longer, occasionally causing things to drag.
🔥If you like the shorter length, but want your gals as alpha as your guys, the Eon Warriors series has similar fun, frisky, and fire.

Due to the shorter length, I wait for these to go on sale, but I give this two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Lover of paranormal romances 😍

I love paranormal romances although I don’t read too many about aliens. I found myself enjoying this one. The characters were well developed and so was the plot. Although it was shorter than most books it didn’t feel rushed. Now I have to continue with this series 😍😍

Entertaining

This was enjoyable. I love alien books and there seems to be a lot of similar stories out there about aliens.

This one had some unique qualities. Like the piercings. That was hot, the men liked to be pierced all over. It had a true mates thing but it wasn’t so instantaneous. In order for it to snap into place, blood had to be spilled and an avenging death. There was also the aura thing,, not telepathic but maybe more empathic? That’s just a little taste of you get in this alien book.

I liked that the story would be a continuation of a main theme. There is an enemy that is digging them. There is a brother that is on a mission to help stop that enemy and there is a couple missing. It was a good start to a fun series.

It was ok

I think the story is ok, I didn't like the female narrator voice, I won't listen the rest of the series.

Description doesn't do it justice

This was a really great story and so much better than the short description. The MC thing isn't the main focus (thankfully) and it isn't a straight forward abduction fated mates either. It does have those standards, but done in a way that was new to me.

There is sex, but didn't seem over the top erotica. No degrading or Dom/Sub aspects which was also a nice surprise considering how many stories that mention a MC or bikes goes that route.

I was on the fence and I'm glad I decided to give it a listen. I enjoyed the world and characters so much that I plan on finishing the series.

Narrator's voice was strange.

I really enjoyed the story, but the female narrator's voice kinda creeper me out. I can't be the only one.

interesting adventures story W spicy scenes

there mention of American woman of different skin tones. Not just Caucasian. If Aliens attacked earth. the largest human group would be ASIAN. Which makes a person assume American government allowed certain females to be taken.. I can't wait to get into the series & follow the conspiracy. And excited for p.o.c. female to find a " mate"...Definitely worth a credit.
