Publisher's summary

In The Mist-Filled Path, Frank MacEowen shows how embracing the indigenous wisdom of Scotland and Ireland can lead to healing and transcendence. Using his own travels and teachings along with Celtic stories and myths, he explores ancient traditions, ecopsychology, the ancient mother, altars and hearths, "Oran Mor" (the Great Song), contemplation, and mysticism. The book tells how to draw on ancestral roots to find a personal spirituality that also works for the greater good.

Very inspiring and enlightening

This book meant a lot to me and my current studies. The orator was excellent as well.

Heartwarming & breathtaking insight!

This was my first time listening to a book on Celtic shamanism. Absolutely beautiful. So informative, inspiring & confirming of other shamanic world wide practices. The narrator was amazing! Really improved the vibe of the story.

Please get more enthusiastic readers

Please if you are going to tell stories. Tell stories. Not monologues. Scottish accent does not make it Authenticate. An actual story teller reading makes it authentic.

Phenomenal

Beautiful and accessible journey of an American-born Celtic-descent Native American-associated man into a meaningful way of being.

Lots of interesting sections

This book is certainly worth looking into if you are curious about Celtic spirituality. Some have commented that the narrator is not great. It should be noted that he is Irish, not Scottish as some have said. To me he sounds like an Irish Martin Luther, King Jr., which I enjoyed.

Really good, powerfully communicative

Frank MacEowen powerfully communicates the earth and heart-centered medicine and ways he presents in this book. As the title tells - the teachings are rooted in Celtic practice but he also shows other cultures that have the same teachings in their own cultural trappings and how central and important it was and is to these cultures for creating and sustaining healthy, loving humans and their cultures. The teachings MacEowen gives here are wise, transforming and - emergently - needed in our USA and the world. I urge you to listen to and/or read this book. The narrator's voice is on the grandiose side BUT his intonations are congruent with the meanings and - - the meanings truly are so profound that after awhile I felt the grandiosity of his voice actually fit the content.

A deep dive into a personal celtic shamanic experience

I found this book really instructive and helpful. It was enlightening, informative and vulnerable. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it based on everything the author said that it wasn’t at the beginning, and I think it’s hard to categorize but I loved every minute of it. Ancient ways, shamanic exploration, ancestor transmissions. For the Celtic spiritual explorer, this book has it all. 10 out of 10.

Very Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. It was real to me. I got emotional at different points during listening to the author talk about his journey. It definitely gave me hope. I plan on listening to it again in the future.

🥱

I felt like the narrator was chosen only for his accent. I did not care for the endless personal stories, it felt like I was reading someone’s diary at times which is rather boring. I would not recommend.
