My name is Quinn Roberts and I was murdered.

Quinn Roberts is dead, and she wants to know how it happened. She's angry, confused, and disappointed that her life is over. Most of her friends have moved on, and it seems like no one cares who was responsible. Her adult children are in shock, but their mother's death is too painful, so they do nothing.

Soon after her murder, Quinn's husband, Alec, acquires a new wife and Quinn becomes a distant memory. Only her sister, Erin, and Detective John McQuillan continue to search for answers.

But as the case stalls, the formal investigation is moved to the Cold Case division and Quinn's family loses hope that there will ever be an arrest.

Can Quinn get the justice she deserves? And, is discovering the truth always worth it?

It’s a good book, lots of good twists and turns. HOWEVER lazy writing w the use of lots of unnecessary tropes. Victim: Beautiful and captivating, EVERYONE is in love w her. *eyeroll* Husband is a textbook narcissist *eyeroll* Then the supernatural connection **EYEROLL**
It’s a decent book, just roll w the tropes.

Good book

I really liked this book - first read from this author. Although I did find the narrator a smidge distracting,…over-enunciated to death. Luckily the story captured me enuf & sped by easily!

A great listen

First book I’ve read from this author. I loved how the story was told from the perspective of the victim. Unlike 90% of the books I’ve read, I became so involved in the main character I caught myself at times yelling (out loud) as the book progressed. It’s great from a reader’s perspective, except when you’re in the office and your colleagues think you’ve lost it. Lol.

Yes, some parts are a little predictable. However, the way in which the story is told it keeps you engaged and becoming protective and a champion for the characters. Definitely worth a read and I’m starting another book she’s written.

Engaging book!

I really liked it, although it is predictable. The end made me cry, i recently lost my brother and this ending brought tears to my eyes. I really enjoyed this book

Love the ending

Amazing performance! I loved everything about this! It was so interesting from start to finish. I loved the concept as well. I liked being able to hear the victim’s side of things before death and especially after.

Amazing read!!

Overall loved the book. There was a point past halfway that it repeated/summarized everything that had happened to that point. Since I listened without stop it was an unnecessary 5-10 min. I’m not a fan of repitition.

Engaging

Predictable plot. Comically evil character. The only thing missing was maniacal laughter while twirling an old timey mustache.

Heavy handed

Pride is one of the seven deadly sins in the Bible. Technology and pride are what lead to the villain.

Glad villain was prideful

I listened to this book while on a road trip. I was so engrossed that I missed my exits, twice! Great read.

It was an ok story but the sexist talk got old. Talking one minute about how fat wives got after babies and then talking about a boney ass girlfriend. Women cannot win and this reinforces those feelings. I really wish authors would be more careful demeaning women so harshly.

Really sexist
