Publisher's summary

One couple risks it all, while the other may lose everything....

At 18, PJ was full of dreams. She was on her way to becoming a serious artist and moving across the country, away from the unrequited, tortured dream of her much older brother's irresistible best friend, Dylan. But when she forced herself to let that dream go, she never expected it to bounce back and refuse to let her.

One fall may have cost Jack everything. After being severely injured while responding to a fire, he lost the girl, the use of his leg, and possibly the career he's dreamed of all his life. While away at rehab, he connects with Danielle, his physical therapist and a girl from his past. She can heal him in more ways than one, but she's nursing her own wounds.

When your heart is warring with your head, there's no time to Think Twice.

Sweet New Beginnings Romance!

I was so excited to find out more about Jack and PJ, the kids I first met, and fell in love with, in After You, now that they have grown into adults. Jack was the adorable little boy who grew into a kind, thoughtful and brave young man, who was excited to become a firefighter like his dad. Pj was petite and feisty and adored her big brother just as much as he loved and protected her. Now several years later, PJ is going off to college and Jack has suffered a life altering accident. He was injured in an accident while fighting a fire and faces the real possibility that he might never return to his dream job, and he is taking it out on all his loved ones. That is until an old friend comes back into his life, bringing hope and love with her. His Physical Therapist, Danielle, is the younger sister of an old friend, and has grown into a beautiful woman inside and out. They have an instant connection and their chemistry grows hotter every day. But Danielle has been burned before and holds herself back not willing to start something with her patient. But Jack is a charmer, and very persuasive, and is determined to not only get his job back, but to also show Danielle that they are perfect for each other.
while Jack is working toward beginning his new life, PJ is running away from hers. She has had a crush on her brothers best friend, Dylan, that has grown into much more. She considers moving away but loves her family too much to leave. Dylan has had strong feelings for PJ that grew stronger the older and more mature she became. Now the time is right for him to let her know that she has always been it for him too. But her dad and Jack are so overprotective, Dylan and PJ find it hard to open up and cause problems with their close knit family. But keeping secrets might just ruin what they have and hurt everyone they love even more. Ms. Rose expertly and exquisitely portrayed life with all it's complications, joy, heartbreak, and pleasure. Narrators Samantha Cook, and Brandon Utah were amazing at making me feel all the authentic emotions in this sweet story of love, healing, family, hope, and beginning life again. They did a great job of portraying both characters, making it easy to tell which couple was featured. I was totally lost in their storytelling making this beautifully crafted love story come to life and capture my heart!

Sweet, sexy and forbidden

This book was my very first Stephanie rose book back in the day and she’s had me hooked ever since. I was looking for a comfort read to listen to today and snatched this audio right up.

Sweet, sexy and forbidden. Two love stories in one follows PJ, Dylan, jack and Daniele and the love and struggles they face.

Both of their stories are wonderful yet heartbreaking because you feel the pain they feel when it comes to secrets staying in and secrets coming out.

Dylan and Jack are both super strong and swoony heros and Danielle and PJ are both stubborn, independent women.

So incredibly good!

Two couples, two stories, and so much enjoyment I couldn't stop listening! Give me a Stephanie Rose book and I know I am in for hours of uninterrupted(if you know what is good for you) entertainment. Let's start with Dylan and Patricia(PJ). First, hearing Brandon Utah say my name over and over is just amazing. This forbidden couple is so much fun to get to know. PJ is Dylan's best friend, Jack's sister. Not the only issue this couple has to overcome, but we get to take their ride. Then Jack, who is an injured firefighter finds out his physical therapist is Dani, his friend Kyle's sister. Burned before, Dani hesitates to react to her attraction to Jack, but he is persistent. These two couples will intrigue you, keep you guessing, make your heart break and then sing! It's writing at it's best. Stephanie Rose has done it again, giving me one of my top listens of the year.

Two narrators for two couples can be a challenge, but Samantha Cook and Brandon Utah rise to the challenge. With dual points of view for each couple, this duo gives individual voices to each. Cook is perfect for these roles with her expressive voice. The women are strong, yet vulnerable and she is so good at portraying each. Brandon Utah is a new voice for me, and he nails the men. Jack has that anger and frustration necessary for his character, and then a sweetness in Dylan that melts my heart. Amazing team for this amazing book.

Sweet Feel Good Romance!

Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 4.5 stars
Story 4.5 stars

I originally read the ebook, but loved revisiting this story via audio! Think Twice is a spin off about the children of one of my favorite Stephanie Rose books, After You. It features Nick and Ellie's children, Jack and PJ, and gives you 2 couples and 4 POV's woven together so masterfully. You don't need to read After You to enjoy Think Twice, but it's an amazing book, so I highly recommend it!

There's honestly a little bit for everyone in this book. You've got friends to lovers, brother's best friend, and also some age gap and patient/therapist taboo. I was really impressed how the stories flowed together and the multiple points of view worked really well, giving us insight into each character's actions and personalities. There isn't any heavy drama, but there is some push and pull for the angst lovers out there.

I was a little skeptical that 2 narrators would be able to pull off 4 distinct characters, but I was really pleasantly surprised by Samantha Cook and Brandon Utah's performances. They both gave vibrant and engaging performances and really brought these characters to life. This is the first book I've listened to performed by either narrator, but both did a fantastic job. I especially enjoyed Samantha Cook's narration as Danielle and PJ. She had just the right amount of sweetness and sass to pull off both women perfectly. I didn't have an issue figuring out which character was speaking, but did find Brandon Utah's female voices a bit too high pitched. I still really enjoyed this one and it was a wonderful listen! Think Twice is a feel good romance that will leave you with a smile on your face.
