Publisher's summary

Svente vampire Ava Sanchez has a difficult decision to make: Should she accept the invitation of the Grand High Master Vampires and join their legion? It will mean leaving behind her brother and her home. It will also mean working with Pagori vampire Salem McCauley. Unlike the majority of vampirekind, she doesn't fear Mr. Tall, Blond, and Dauntless...even if he does have some psychopathic traits. In fact, he has a raw sexuality that tempts her to drop her 'no relationships' rule and give him exactly what he wants from her - everything.

Salem McCauley doesn't like anything cute, or sweet, or cheery. Yet he wants Ava with a desperation that's bordering on obsession. And shockingly, she doesn't look at him like others do - you know, like they fear he'll rip out their spinal cord for fun. Now that the legion will be busy hunting the players involved in the creation of an illegal vampiric brothel, there's no time for pursuing Ava. But Salem makes time, because he never denies himself what he wants, and he always holds tight to what's his. And that's exactly what Ava is, whether she knows it or not: his.

Suzanne is AWESOME!!

When an author can bring in characters from her other books seamlessly (Knox Thorne) and tie the story line together so enjoyable, then you have a winner. For Ava to know demons and have the intersectionality of two powerful immortals made this book one of my favorite plots.

The female narrator did not alter the lead character voice enough from the lead of the 1st 3 books making her sound like Sam. That was hard to listen too.

I still enjoyed it greatly!

Great Fun

I didn't want to read about the other vampire couples, but I found this one REALLY entertaining! I always hate moving away from the main couple in series like this, but then end up really enjoying the other couples if I really loved the main couple! I'm crazy, I know.

It's a great addition to the series!

Good

Book 4 features a new couple. There was still plenty of Sam and Jared so it felt like a smooth transition in the series.

I liked both main characters, more Salem. He is the broody, dangerous but very protective hero. Ava pushed away a little too much for my liking but she was a likable character.

The series overall is good, just a rough beginning in book 1 that I think is still affecting my overall feelings of the series. I like it enough, I'm still going to read the next book.

Very sexy romantic twist

At first I didn’t care for her too bubbly, quirky character & his too slow, laid back appearance, but they soon grew on me when I learned their reasons. This storyline was quiet different & had several twists & turns that kept you enthralled in the story & all the characters. The sex was extremely hot & erotic like, loved it. Can’t wait for more.

Loved it!

Ava and Salem were awesome. Her personality was just what the mean and brooding Salem needed. He will never stop being over protected of her regardless of her vicious streak and gift, but he will never tire of her liveliness or her love of the color pink.

Another great addition to this series

Like the other books in this series, this book was well written and kept the reader wanting to know what happens next.

Unfortunately like many of Suzanne Wrights other female characters, I think she slightly misses the mark with the heroine. Instead of smart independent and strong, we get bitchy and rude a lot of the time. Not the admirable qualities their sold to the reader as being, unfortunately Ms Wright’s hero’s often miss the mark slightly when their over the top behaviour and attitude is excused or minimised as ‘alpha’ behaviour. The male overprotective qualities are just this side of ‘power over’ and controlling, which is not respectful of the women they supposedly admire and love.

Luckily Ms Wright is a good enough author that she is able develop layers in her characters which helps to make the reader care what happens and overlook a few cringe moments. The world development is amazing and the story concept is absorbing, making this series a very worthwhile purchase.

Love the female narrator

Justine Eyre is definitely added to one of my favorite narrators to listen to. Also I love Suzanne Wright writing. I just wish that the Author didn't use the Male narrator because Justine Eyre did a better job and can do a male voice better then him .
I will be finishing this series but I don't know if I'll listen to anymore of her books because I feel that the Author doesn't pick good narrator's except for Justine. Sad because I enjoy her take on the supernatural word. It definitely is better then Underworld the movie

Another Great Book

I love everything she writes I will say this book is a little different than Sam and Jared’s story because that put there story into one story. But it does bring Knox into the story and you finally know the story the is referred to in “Darkness In You” which I really enjoyed.

There’s no going back

Consumed is the fourth book in the Deep in Your Veins Series. My favorite Vampires are back and hotter than ever! Ava Sanchez has been invited to join the ranks of the Grand High Master Vampires. Joining the ranks will mean fighting the good fight alongside her crush Salem McCauley. As Ava and Salem grow closer together their attraction expands to an unbelievable level. With testosterone, passion, and vampire powers galore, the stakes are high for Ava and Salem to find their happily ever after together!

Told in multiple POV, Consumed offers another blockbuster paranormal hit that will leave Wright fans salivating for more. The action and suspense are off the charts and of course, we get a full dose of the entire crew to keep us entertained the entire read. This series will never get old and with such a fantastical world to explore, I look forward to more from these smoking hot vamps!

Overall, I highly recommend this series to any paranormal romance fans. Suzanne Wright is by far my go-to author when it comes to magical creatures of any kind. Her spunky females and alpha males always keep me on the edge of my seat the entire read. I am looking forward to the next in the series for sure!
