What a wonderful surprise this series was! I honestly had never heard of this author or series so started reading with no expectations. I was hooked from the very beginning and binge listened to all four books in a very short time. Book four ended wonderfully even though I would have loved a book five. I am disappointed there are no more books by this author but hopefully something new will be coming out. The narrator did a splendid job. Would definately recommend!

The characters and all the books are So good the teacher is my favorite usually people are scrambling around in these books she takes charge from book one and knows what needs to be done it's nice to see a different point of view

Great story. Really puts things into perspective that young folks can change and grow up when forced to do it on their own. Enjoyed all 4 books .. can’t wait till next 2 appear on audiobooks.

I liked the overall balance of the story with amount of good folks they met as to just meeting those who had lost their humanity as so many stories of this kind focus on. It gives you hope that in the worst of situations many will hold on to their basic goodness and humanity
