Another great Maisie Dobbs book!

I very much enjoyed this newest addition to the outstanding Maisie Dobbs series. While the "mystery" part of the story is always entertaining it is the characters that keep the reader returning to this series. And, as always, Orlagh Cassidy's narration adds much to the listening experience!

Confusing ending

Loved everything about this period novel. But the ending was left me hanging as I wasn't quite sure who killed who. Love the narrator.

i love all of these Maisie books, but this one wasn't as compelling as the others. just something missing.

I love historical fiction

The novel gives a glimpse of the poor and the powerful in England in 1933 as Hitler gained dominance in Germany, an event that forms the backdrop to the story.

Once again another great story

Love Maisie Dobbs, once again I’m enthralled by Jacqueline Winspear, her writing is amazing and stories are unforgettable!
