Emily Beresford
Emily Baxter’s dream life turns into a waking nightmare the day the red rain falls. Like a biblical plague, the scarlet downpour spreads a hideous virus that demolishes life in New York City, the nation, and the world. Suddenly the last soul in an annihilated metropolis - and possibly on Earth - the onetime newspaper reporter must learn to scavenge, survive...and plan for a future of utter solitude.
Then, from far-flung Alaska, another living voice reaches out, and Emily grasps at her only glimmer of hope. But she may be even less alone than she thinks. The world is in the midst of a strange and frightening transition; something that fell with the red rain is remaking Earth in its own alien image.
Now, Emily alone will bear witness to the terrifying new evolution - and risk her life to outrun it, for the sake of the future and in the name of all that is human.

Would you try another book from Paul Antony Jones and/or Emily Beresford?
Yes. At daily deal pricing. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The concept is great (and at least from books I've read, it's unique). I'm looking forward to seeing where it leads. But other reviews are accurate. The characters logic is flawed. Any adult is capable of driving a car. No one carries all their survival gear on a bike for a trip from New York to Alaska. This bag appears to be packed by Michael Carbonaro (magician). The author gets too detailed about meaningless things. I too hate over use of the word "panties". At this point it is stretching my ability to suspend disbelief. I'm having a very hard time seeing this bike with all the gear on it. For gods sake, put the bike in a car, if you get stuck ditch the car and take the bike to the next available car. But the ideas are good enough to keep me interested and the occasional action is enough to keep the story entertaining. What three words best describe Emily Beresford’s voice?
Adequate. You aren't going to love her but you probably won't hate her.Could you see Extinction Point being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Eh? Yes, but...who cares. I'd like to write a review about the meaninglessness of this question for a book review.Any additional comments?
If this is your genre it might not compare, but if you (like me) enjoy a change of pace. This book entertains at < $5.Not Great but good for the Price
