I love the series I thought it was great listening. Storyline is fantastic in the readers were great

Can we please have Ed Westwick re-narrate all of Cassandra Claire's books? His voice is so captivating.

glad i stuck with the story

i struggled to get thru the first book because i felt the narrator wasn't doing it justice. but i sure glad i finished it and moved onto the second. what a great book with intriguing characters. i really love the two narrators i think they nailed it.

Teenage Angst

Would you listen to The Clockwork Prince again? Why?

Yes, I enjoy the worlds of magic that Clare creates and would like to hear the details again.

Would you recommend The Clockwork Prince to your friends? Why or why not?

It depends on how old they are. Teenage girls would like it (as two great boys vie for the same girl), but the "love" story was tiresome for me.

What about Ed Westwick and Heather Lind ’s performance did you like?

I was glad that they actually didn't only narrate all male or all female characters. Sometimes it can be choppy to have male and female performers trade off.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, extreme reaction. I liked how it ended and want to read the next book.

Any additional comments?

I only read one of the Twilight books and found them too tiresome. I hope that Clare doesn't perceive her universe as competing with that one--it is way better--more believable and interesting.

One of my favorite series of all time

Loved Ed. Not so much Heather. I liked her normal voice but I didn't like a lot of the voices she did for other characters

First time audio user

I rather enjoy Cassandra Clares books and this one did not disappoint. First time I listened to a whole book on audio and rather enjoyed it.

Great read!

I really enjoyed this book, a lot better than the first.
I loooove the old-fashioned setting, the imagination, the characters, and this second book is not as dark or creepy, as the first one.
Even though there is a love triangle, it isn't awful, like some young adult novels. I like that the friendship comes first! This teaches a nice lesson about preferring others, above yourself, and the depth of friendship.
Not a predictable story (at least, I didn't think so!).
Definitely recommend.

Good story

Good story and follow on from the first one. The relationship drama sometimes is a bit much but it’s also part of the story. Love the characters and I am a fan.
Narrators were fair although I did not enjoy the male narrator as he is too raspy and does not get the inflections and emotions right. Spoils the story and I tend to speed up during his reading.

Loved it

This is just as enticing as her other books. It kept me up all night long wanting to know what was going to happen next!

Wonderful Story, Wonderful Series.

I love these books and the suspenseful adventures, the intriguing characters, and the struggle of right in the midst pf oppression and opposition. This may be my favorite, just because Heather Lind is the most remarkable and enjoyable narrator of the entire collection in this series! She makes each character come to life in the most endearing ways. I wish she narrated every book!
