About this listen

A special movie tie-in edition of David Levithan's New York Times best-seller, now a major motion picture starring Angourie Rice of Spiderman: Homecoming and The Nice Guys - in theaters February 23, 2018!

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

There's never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere. It's all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin's girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with - day in, day out, day after day. But can Rhiannon love someone who is destined to change every day?

"Wise, wildly unique." (Entertainment Weekly)

"A story that is always alluring, oftentimes humorous and much like love itself--splendorous." (Los Angeles Times)

Superb!

Anyone can write a romance. Anyone can write a philosophical treatise. There are those who have written each. In this series, Levihan accomplishes both at the same time--and he does so with superb skill.

Haunting, insightful, beautifully read and amazing

A teen love/ life story like no other. Rich in life insights but leaves a little wanting at the end as if the genius plot device was a trap. Hopefully the 2018 forthcoming sequel Someday will rescue that small flaw 8n this brilliant story.

Good story

The story was good, but I was not impressed with the ending. It kind of just leaves you hanging.

Mean book

I wanted to listen to this book because it sounded like a good story. I enjoyed listening to it, however I am shocked how awful it spoke of overweight people. The author showed his ignorance and lack of talent by speaking as if a mean 7 year old was speaking of an over weight person. I would not recommend anyone struggling with body image problems read this book.

Interesting concept

The narrator was a perfect choice for this novel.
Enjoyed the listen, found it engaging, but the ending seemed sudden and I didn't really feel a conclusion to the overall plot was really presented. It also other felt like they had reached their word limit and pared down the end to fit.

Every student, every adult should read this book.

Compelling, passionate, inclusive story that offers an eye-opening awareness of the array of lifestyles a 16-year-old might grow up in. This is more than just a book about being gender fluid, it's about our responsibility to ourselves to be the best version of ourselves in a world that so quickly wants to judge "different".

Very slow set up, but intriguing story

I thought this was a good book. It was interesting, but it was a very slow build up. I enjoyed the narrator. The book was a clean romance, which I appreciated.

I wasn't ready for it to end!

If you could sum up Every Day in three words, what would they be?

Unique. Interesting. Bittersweet.

What other book might you compare Every Day to and why?

I really don't have a book to compare this too. I enjoyed the how it was unique. I've never read a book with a similar plot.

Which character – as performed by Alex McKenna – was your favorite?

"A" was my favorite. Not only because he was the main character but because the voice was perfect. It could go for either male or female. "A" had so many emotions for each life he or she lived.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book but it did leave me wondering about the characters. It felt incomplete, like there should be a sequel to it or just more to this story. I definitely wasn't ready for it to end.
