Publisher's Summary

Set in a near-future, post-ecological and post-economic collapse, Revolution World chronicles the romance between rogue genetic engineer Clio Somata, and martial-artist computer-programmer Seth Boucher. Sadly, the road of love is never easy...in this case, an overreaching US military establishment and an evil multi-national bioengineering firm has decided that they want what Clio and her family has - cutting edge bio-technology. The conflict between the Somata clan and the US government ends up being the catalyst that drives a bunch of libertarian Texan gamers to declare a revolt against the oppressive US government, kicking off a new Texas Revolution!

    "Such an amazing audiobook!"

It's worth the time and money to listen to! It's such a great story. Most of the time, it kept me at the edge of my seat. It was a smooth, clear and good-paced story, I never spaced out or got lost. I was always interested and I would've listened to the whole story in one sitting if I could. It was very well written and Michele did an amazing job with voicing the characters. Usually, I don't like audiobooks because I'm better at reading them, but this audiobook had my attention completely and I didn't miss anything! I thought some parts were really hilarious, and my favorite character is Clio.

I recommend this book to people who like stories that keep you at the edge of your seat and have comedy every now and then. Also, if you like Ninja Pomeranians and fire-breathing cows! The genetic mutations with the animals are interesting, too!

    Story
"Cheeky cyber vampires! What's not to like?"

Revolution World is a tongue-in-cheek near future tale that takes place in the aftermath of economic and environmental collapse. The action takes place in Texas with an overbearing US military and Homeland Security presence. Into this mix, is added an all female run designer gene outfit and a computer security empire run by vampires. Remember the Alamo is reborn inside of a online multiplayer computer game (RW).

The science elements are low volume in the bio and cyber realms. The real meat of the story is the conflict between Texas' fierce independent streak and the over the top national government's nearly fascist control freak tendencies. The author must be a Texan who replaced moonshine with computer code and is fantasizing about Texas coming into their own.

Overall, this is a lighted hearted romp through an undesirable and dystopic near future that is nevertheless still entertaining. The narration is well done and the story flows quickly.
