Fate - the second installment in the My Blood Approves series....
Alice Bonham thinks she's finally found a balance in her life between the supernatural and real life with her brother Milo. Jack - her sorta vampire boyfriend - keeps her at arm's length to keep her safe. As for his brother Peter... she's not sure where he's at, or what he wants with her. Worse still, she's not even sure what she wants with Peter. When tragedy happens, Alice finds herself struggling with a terrible choice. Her decision has consequences that reach farther than she'd ever imagined.

Would you try another book from Amanda Hocking and/or Hannah Friedman?
I saw potential in the story and would try another book from Amanda Hocking. I wouldn't look for a book that Hannah Friedman narrated like I do with other narrators that I really like but I wouldn't not listen to a book just because Hannah Friedman is the narrator. If the book is good enough it is easier to accept a mediocre narrator. I wish the companies that make the audio versions of books did a better job casting the narrators. In some cases the narrator is horrible and I think Audible should consider wether or not they will offer the audio version without it being redone with a better narrator. If you’ve listened to books by Amanda Hocking before, how does this one compare?
I listened to the whole series of My Blood Approves and it is the same story line with the same narrator so there is nothing else to compare it to. A better narrator could have improved the series although the book was lacking. What three words best describe Hannah Friedman’s voice?
Mediocre, occasionally flat and occasionally whinyHer performance was ok but definitely could have used more emotion. Sometimes her words dragged out. It was better when I listened to it in 2x speed. She definitely needs to work on her male voices.
Did Fate inspire you to do anything?
NOIt's just ok

Would you try another book from Amanda Hocking and/or Hannah Friedman?
Yes, definitely. This second book climaxes with theWhat was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I like that Jack's character chose to fight for Alice in the end - I look forward to the outcome of his and Peter's (his brother for whom Alice is meant 'by blood') conflict. I think Peter's character offers the most inspiration for future works in the series. I want to believe that Ms. Hocking's writing is anemic (interms of descriptions of places, rooms, etc.), because of the limited and sometimes painfully repetitive vocabulary of her teen protaganist, Alice. What didn’t you like about Hannah Friedman’s performance?
I am not a fan of Hannah Friedman's reads - her emotive approach often differs from that of the characters she is reading about. But my last audiobook wasIf this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes ... but I would hope that the screenplay helps the story rather than hurts it (as was Twilight, which was carried on the backs of its actors - I still loved it). I think it should be told from Peter's point of view, to be more original.Hopefully Connective Tissue To Book 3

Would you consider the audio edition of Fate to be better than the print version?
Yes, I would. Once I tried Audible I was hook. I love to read but it so much easier to just listen. I don't have the strain on my eyes that gave me headaches.Who was your favorite character and why?
Ezra, He always seemed to know what to do in any situation. He was soft spoken but everyone respected himHave you listened to any of Hannah Friedman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I really like her.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, very much so! Read it in 1 & 1/2 days.Any additional comments?
You really need to listen to this book! This is my favorite. Must Listen! Can't put this book down! AWESOME!

I'm a firm believer that if you write a book you should at least conssider making your characters interesting. They aren't. They're generic. Their problems are generic. Their enemies are generic. If I could get my money back I would. Save your credit.
Fated to be eternally boring
