As he tries to make her his plaything for the evening, eager to use and abuse her until he discards her with the rest of his victims, Genevieve must keep her wits if she intends to survive the night.
But there's someone else on the ship who knows the true depths of Van Dorn's evil. Peter Jensen is far more than the unassuming personal assistant he pretends to be - he's a secret operative who will stop at nothing to ensure Harry's deadly Rule of Seven terror campaign dies with him. But Genevieve's presence has thrown a wrench into his plans, and now he must decide whether to risk his mission to keep her alive, or allow her to become collateral damage.

"A master at creating chilling atmosphere with a modern touch." (Library Journal)
"Stuart courts controversy with Jensen's lack of emotion and total body control, allowing him to use sex as a tool for disarming both women and men; her hero's sexual flexibility is bound to turn off some readers, just as it's bound to entice others. Those who take the plunge shouldn't be disappointed: Stuart knows how to take chances, and this edgy thriller shows how well they can pay off." (Publishers Weekly)
"Cold as Ice"
absolutely loved this audiobook! the story line kept my interest and the reader was awesome!
I live in Michigan and have been a member of auible since it's onset. Hobbies are photography and writing...I am in the process of formatting my first novel for kindle and I hope everyone will read it. I LOVE AUDIBLE and listen to at least 3 unabridged books a month. !
"Left me Frozen with Boredom"
Well.......I never stop listening to a book..no matter how bad. I figure it's my dime..my choice.
But this book I made an exception.
Trite...trite..trite. The hero who happens to be a killer, threatens to kill the protagonist from the beginning of the book...and he threatens...threatens...threatens..till I reached a point where, I wanted to kill her myself and get it over with....This book didn't provoke any emotion for me at all except boredom.....and about the reader. The reader was awful...read in a monotonous tone that droned and was devoid of any emotion....This is my first time reading Anne Stuart......I only made it through the first half of the book...but alas..No more Anne Stuart books for me.
"Good, but others in series are better."
Good, but others in series are better.
"No thrills"
The first three chapters are tantalizing followed by a formulaic cat and mouse game between the two "love interests"that drags through the remaining chapters. This book left me cold.
"Too Much Smut"
The story line was pretty good but it got lost in all the smut (porn). Really, there needs to be a Smut category for these stories. There might be 2 lines of romance in them but the rest is trash. The description of the book does not state that this is a trashy novel.
"Glad it was free..."
the book was just dry, boring, and repetitive. The killer keeps threatening to kill her but you soon learn he's all talk, and after a while it becomes really boring to hear him say the same thing. Also, how a romance bloomed out of this story makes no sense to me. I like to listen to audio books to pass the time on the train to and from work, but this book doesn't help me pass the time, it just makes me wish it was over.
Not sure
take more time to develop the romance. One minute there was nothing, and the next they were sleeping together while still talking about escaping each other and murder. it made no sense to me.
disappointment
the accents were bothersome too.
"Too explicit!!!"
If it was put under the right category. Totally misleading and disgusting.
No way ever. It was like hearing porn.
Anger, disappointment. I couldn't listen to it.
"Not the Best but Certainly not the Worst"
I have no reason to bash this book. Anne Stuart did a good job of adding in a few twists and turns to an otherwise far fetched character base. I also bought the prequel to this book Black Ice. Cold as Ice is by far the better of the two books.
Miss Natalie Gold did a very good job seeing us through some pretty far fetched character names and accents. I would listen to her again.
