A better read than listen

The narrator was a bit lackluster. While she didn't do a bad job, it just felt more robotic, like reading a script. Listening to this after listening to Ordinary and Unique, it fell a bit flat.

I read the ebook version and enjoyed it more that way.

Bianca’s POV!

A great addition to this trilogy, it’s basically the first book retold from Bianca’s point of view. At first I thought it would be repetitive to read/listen to the same events again, but I was so wrong! Definitely don’t miss out on this one! I loved hearing Bianca’s telling of events and what happened to her. The narrator on these audiobooks is wonderful and so easy to listen to.

Nice to have a different POV

So, is the same story told from a different viewpoint still the same story? The different viewpoint almost feels like a different book. Different emphasis, goals, experiences, and emotion perspectives. Not a different book but a parallel story. No matter how you look at it, this was a great series. This new perspective that ties in and ties up loose threads is much appreciated. I'll miss this series...at least for a little while. There are always re-reads/re-listens to look forward to. This was a complete pleasure to listen to while knocking out a whole Honey-do list of chores.

Same as Part 2 but from Bianca's Point of View

This third part to the series rehashes the events that happened in book two. However, It has a different, fresh feel to it because it is from Bianca's point of view. At the end of book 1, Ugene left his friend, Bianca, for dead as he escaped from Paragon. Book 3 tells us the story of what happened next to Bianca while Ugene was off doing his thing saving the city from tyranny. This story tied up some loose threads and filled in some gaps left over from book 2. Nice way to end the series.

Another POV

I really enjoyed this book which detailed what happened to Bianca and also depicted many events, presented in the second book of the series, from Bianca's point of view. In order to appreciate the series though, these three books need to be read in order. If you liked the first two books, you will enjoy this tale also. Jillian R. Shelton's narration was great. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

A haunting personal story

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated by Jillian R Shelton, this harrowing final piece of the Powers Series is focused on Bianca Pond and the haunting personal betrayals she faces at the hands she thought she could put her trust in: Paragon, the Directorate... and even her own brother. Justice is coming and as Bianca unravels her own personal hell to understand the haunting truth behind those in control of Elpis... and a brighter future rising out of the ruins of the shattered world. Wonderfully poignant and deeply intense that gives this already harrowing series a very dark memorable edgy tone. Highly recommended

The storyline

I loved having the opportunity to see everything from Bianca’s view point. It made the storyline for the whole series make sense to me. The anger, the resentment, the fight.

As far as the performance the narrator was a perfect fit that’s the voice I imagine Bianca having. Awesome job. Highly enjoyed listening to it. Thank you.

From another point of view...

What a fantastic addition to The Power Series! I highly recommend listening to the first two books before this one... is covers the same series of events from the second book but from a different perspective. This is Bianca’s story!

I’m amazed at how Starr Z. Davies was able to tell the same general story, but have it be so different. Thank you for expanding on your tale and giving us a whole new take on things.

Jillian R Shelton gave a very entertaining performance. She was the perfect voice for Bianca.

Unbearable Performance

The performance made it so that I could not listen to the book. The speech rate is disjointed and unnatural. The performer pronounces everything as if stating a fact, there’s barely any realistic natural inflection, and she pronounces a lot of words very strangely. I really had to quit listening to this. Her voice (especially for Nevermore) was just absolutely the worst.

She might’ve inspired me to try my hand at this career path since apparently anyone can do it.

Anyway, I finished the book with my own two eyeballs and the story was good. 3.5/5 stars for the content.
