Publisher's summary

Real Wolves Bite continues....

I ran from my fated mate. I drove to the middle of nowhere, where I thought I'd be safe. And somehow, I ended up here.

Amarok has secrets. And it's a town filled with shifters. The very thing I've been trying to get away from.

My arrival has shattered the fragile peace this town's had for the last century. War is coming between the two packs, and only I seem to have the ability to stop it.

The two alphas in the town are determined to have me. But a killer wants the very same thing.

Me? I just want whatever's inside of me to be released.

Like Wilder and Daxon, I carry my own secrets, ones that make it impossible for my fated mate to let me go.

They call me wild....

But I just want to be free.

Avoid the audio but definitely read the book!

Rune thought she was safe in Amarok, but her ex’s goons keep showing up. Rune herself is changing and Dax and Wilder both sense it. None of them have any idea how much. This second installment continues Rune’s, Dax’s, and Wilder’s saga and kept me hoping she would choose both! I mean, who wouldn’t want 2 🥵 alpha male wolves?! Audio was mediocre. As always: CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!!

Different

The narrators are okay, but sound young for this story. I am not sure if that is what seems off or some of the story is naive in a sense. I do enjoy it though as it is a very different take on types of wolves and mates. 18+

Great Story

I really love this series. I wanna take a second and write about the narration. The female narration, while great, seemed to mispronounce words (gaped and others). Male narration was great. Especially when voicing Daxons crazy self. Will continue the series.

Female narrator is annoying

I am team Wilder.. I want him to be her second chance mate! I don’t trust the other guy!

The female narrators voice is annoying! I love the guy though

Cringe narration

After struggling to listen through the first book's male and female characters, at least this book brought in a real man to read. I'm convinced that English might not be the female's first language. Every person she read for was in her "valley girl" accent, including the burley men. Ruined some good books for me.

Second guessing my choice

When I read book one I could not wait to read the other books in the series. This book left me wondering if I made the right choice on purchasing books 2, 3, and 4.

With shifter books you always expect violence. But the way Daxon's character took a twist made me hating his character. I felt like I listening to a spin off of the TV show Dexter. That is if Dexter was a werewolf. I actually hate his character now and hope that Rune chooses Wilder over Dexter. Rune escaped such cruelty and abuse and to see her accept it in someone else is disturbing.

Hope in the next book I see more of Wilder and less of Daxon.

Heart Pumping Good

I am so in love with this book and the rollercoaster of emotions. From fighting to love to hate and friendship you get it all in this book. The connection between Rune, Wilder and Daxon is mind-blowingly intense and perfectly written.
Thank goodness I started reading this when the 3rd one came out because CR Jane and Mila Young leave you hanging with a cliffhanger

Dacey Else & Ryan Haugen did an amazing job narrating this book, bringing out the emotions of each scene whether it being an action or love.

I could not take the characters seriously...

I could not take the characters seriously bc of the female narrator. I was hoping in book 2 the narrator would improve on her breathy-short breath speaking, but sadly she did not... She sounds like she's out of breath and also straining to sound like she's orgasiming throughout the entire book. It was hard to listen to, and I could not feel the depth of Rune's character, besides sounding like a horny traumatized girl. I hope book 3 narrator is different 🤞🏼. Overall tho, the story is gradually picking up, & the twist with Daxon, interesting, but weird, bc her ex was really abusive, so idk if this twist is for Rune to make a comeback with someone who can be psycho and still truly love her and treat her right? Not sure....

Narrators or hard to listen to

Narrators or hard to listen to, They kept smacking their lips and seem to mess up.
But the book just seems to go on and on with the main character so slow, not recognizing wolves when she actually grew up in a pack and the story just drones on and on!!
