Rushed ending
This book held my attention, and I really liked the story. The author took time to build the characters and went into a lot of detail when describing situations. But the ending storyline was disappointing because it seemed rushed . I needed more information about how everything worked out.

Great Debut Story
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, following along with Penny and the other cast of colorful characters. I was hooked from the beginning and kept wanting to know what would happen next. Penny's journey from childhood to discovering how freeing forgiveness can be is a strong lesson for us all. Having grown up in a smaller southern town myself, I thought the narration and descriptions were very authentic. Congratulations to Hope Gibbs on this debut novel, and I look forward to many more to come.

Lovely First Novel

Great read!
This story was a beautiful telling of overcoming past hurt and remaking anew. It masterfully portrayed small town Southern culture with "bless your heart" moments and others that had me laughing out loud. It made me appreciate true friends and second chances even more. Be a buttercup!
