I love this mix of music and story.

Whether you know Kelly or not I recommend this book, it is a gentle reminder that life is challenging and pulling through is always worth the effort. I know Kelly from transformative processes. Her light and love is just amazing. I loved this book, I was captivated from the start. It is nice to have 'a hand of friendship' to hear anytime I need the reminder. I did not realize how much I missed her voice until I heard it here, we didn't know each other very well but her kind words and beautiful presence remains in my heart all these many years later.

Worth every second of your time

At first, I thought, eight hours on Audible?? And when I started it, I couldn’t put it down. A remarkable story of an amazing woman’s courageous journey through life, dealing with some unbelievable situations that she has had to overcome. Her story is intertwined with songs that she wrote, and she has an absolutely beautiful voice. Truly worth every minute of the eight hours it took me to listen. I highly recommend it. So inspirational! It brought me to tears more than once. Enjoy this amazing ride.

Like a warm blanket - to hear how love heals all!

Going on this journey with Ms. Lord was like looking at all the brokenheartedness that life can bring for many of us, yet her words and storytelling were like a warm blanket to comfort me through it. Her insight into the brokenness, yet beauty inside each of us is profound. She shows us through words and music that even with pain, and sometimes because of it, we can and should remain open! Through her storytelling, she exemplifies a sense of resilience and childlike humor that is above and beyond where someone who may have experienced as much early trauma typically goes. She is a true survivor and a trustworthy guide. I am recommending this book to loved ones I know will appreciate it as much as I do!

Bittersweet humor!

Loved the audible book! Ms. Lord’s tapestry of her life is full of sadness and then her renewable spirit; almost broken yet still she found the light! This is a story of pain, friendships, broken friendships, family healing and true grit of character! The songs are beautiful and perfect for the story lines! My heart has been shattered then filled back up with astounding love!

What a beautiful written book. Kelly shares her life story, which at times made me cry, gasp, and laugh. She is an amazing story teller and captivates the audience as she tells of her struggles and triumphs. Her music is unmatched and it brings a incredible feeling to the story. Love this book. I would highly reccomend.
