Story
Most organizations and individuals work in the context of annual goals and plans; a 12-month execution cycle. Instead, The 12 Week Year avoids the pitfalls and low productivity of annualized thinking. This book redefines your "year" to be 12 weeks long. In 12 weeks, there just isn't enough time to get complacent, and urgency increases and intensifies. The 12 Week Year creates focus and clarity on what matters most and a sense of urgency to do it now. In the end more of the important stuff gets done and the impact on results is profound.

Publisher's summary
Read by the author and Jesse Vilinsky.
Successful entrepreneur and life coach Cayla Craft reveals to listeners the seven questions that can unlock a new paradigm for dreaming, envisioning, and activating the life story they want to live.
We all want to experience great joy, peace, and love in our lives. We all want to find our true purpose and live an abundant life. But to do that, we have to first ask ourselves a few questions and get to know someone who we might be unconsciously allowing to drive our lives: our younger selves.
Cayla Craft was working as an ER nurse when she realized that she was unconsciously believing a lot of unhelpful narratives about herself that were influencing her everyday life. She started getting honest with herself and answered some tough questions, trying get to know the “little me” who was making a lot of the decisions in her adult life. This realization led to her quitting her day job and developing the Take 7 approach to personal growth and fulfillment that has helped thousands of women live their best lives. In What Do You Really Want?, Cayla guides listeners through the seven questions that can change everything and shows them how to
- eliminate areas of self-sabotage by learning how to take control of their narratives,
- find the courage to identify and make necessary sacrifices to create the lives they were made for, and
- replace a cycle of toxic positivity with action that comes from a place of truth and self-knowledge.
When you learn to use this self-coaching method, you’ll discover the more enriching, deeply fulfilled life that God intended you to have. What Do You Really Want? goes beyond current explanations about how narratives shape us and helps listeners discover the questions they should be asking so they can use those answers to inspire a transformation in their lives and the lives of others.

Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Rachel Hollis has seen it too often: women not living into their full potential. They feel a tugging on their hearts for something more, but they’re afraid of embarrassment, of falling short of perfection, of not being enough. In Girl, Stop Apologizing, number-one New York Times best-selling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people - whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee....

Story
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

Story
The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

Story
What if every time you had a self-critical thought, you heard it in a man’s voice? The truth is not far off. Living in a patriarchy, women absorb a lifetime of messages that say your worth is defined by your looks, your accomplishments, and how well you take care of everyone around you. In fact, these messages are so pervasive that, even knowing they exist, they still manage to program themselves into our brains. The result is that women end up feeling anxious, guilty, and vaguely ashamed of themselves no matter how much they do for others or achieve for themselves.

Phew.
I got this book on Audible bc the plan was to have it paired with the physical copy, but also bc I could get this version immediately to start.
I really just started following you on IG within the last 12 months, and really started to pay attention within the last 6 months bc you were showing up differently.
From your presence to your content to how you were reintroducing yourself and coaching even on social.
Then you launched your book and I realized I really needed to start paying attention bc your style was different. Watching you share about your new book and the testimonials continued to resonate.
From when you first introduce “Take 7” in the introduction to when you really start to ask questions and coach in the book, I remember in chapter two when tears started to form in my eyes and flow down my cheeks and I realized - well, here we go.
I didn’t know certain areas that needed the attention and growth they do, but your book helps reveals them, along with a plan to coach through them - and you take that journey with us.
Phew. This book.
Perfect timing for something I didn’t know I needed, but offers coaching through its pages and speakers as you coach us personally with the content.
Thank you - for the fresh, honest coaching that this space and so many of us need.

Getting unstuck
Sometimes books come along at the perfect time. I’ve been feeling very stuck lately. Just getting through the day with very little effort. I hate feeling like this. I am not helpful to my family, I’m very irritable, constantly not feeling well, the list goes on of all the blah-di-dah’s that happen. I found this new book from Cayla Craft.
The book had some very important questions that I really needed to work on for myself. Along with springtime flowers, I will be letting some new things grow. This book is fantastic for anyone wondering what’s next?, can I get out of this funk? or how can I get unstuck?
I’m so grateful Cayla wrote this as I can now use it in my daily life.
