Suspenseful

This was an amazing love story. Can’t wait for the next one! This series is so good!!!!!

Entertaining

This book had it’s funny moments; the narrators did a great job with characters. The storyline was interesting and entertaining; kept me listening. It’s much like previous books in series.

Better than others

This book was much better than the others I just get annoy with female narrator sometimes dang!

3.5* - Hard to rate

this one is hard for me to rate. the humor was spot on, but the sexy times/sexy talk kinda gave me the ick lmao
I also HATED how quickly the heroine forgave our hero. he didn't even say sorry!! I need more grovel damn it!! the ending felt quite a bit rushed in general.

If you like IPB then you will love this. It has similarities to it but has its own unique twists

Skip this one - seriously

This was not at all what I had hoped for The Beast story. It's like the author decided that instead of commiting to him being an a-hole that gets put in his place and makes amends, she decided to give him a personality transplant and then make all his past mistakes and attitude wash away. Abby was nothing like how she is presented in the previous books even after the multiple deceptions and invasion of privacy took place - she had zero fight in her which was so disappointing. I mean all the others thought The Beast was going to get an Abby beat down because she was that fierce (until now). This could have been a very, very hot Hate/Hate attraction and fighting it out that turned into a 'Love you and love to push your buttons' romance, but no - everyone get a new personality to make the story simple.

The Beast also had the ability to cloak which was this big thing in the previous books, but it was never used more than him just being a creeper. Wasted opportunity to expand on this part of their alien heritage and abilities.

Finally, why this is completely a skipable book, is because there is absolutely no world building. It is nice to have a one off story of just the couple sometimes, but I expected some of the major universe plot points to at least come up at the end, but nope! Oh and if you were just going for the spicy bits, let me assure you, this is mild at best. I can't even remember any of the scenes. like there was even the throw in of blue snails and I honestly can't can't remember anything sizzling in the resulting hookup.

Personally, I loved the first few books, but at this point I'm going to save my money/credits for other audiobooks. The value of listening to these books vs just reading them has dropped significantly in my opinion. I love these narrators - it's the content which is failing them.
