Publisher's summary

When Ben first bought his starship, he expected to spend the rest of his days joyriding through the universe with his best friend.

As the most wanted criminal in a galaxy that’s about to be crushed in the iron fist of an evil tyrant, it’s fair to say things haven’t gone according to plan. Caught up in the middle of a looming intergalactic conflict and rejected by both sides, there’s only one thing left for him to do.

Take the biggest risk of his life....
And prepare for war.

Sad

This story started off ok now it sounds like a 5th grader wrote it.
I already can figure out how it ends.

Boring

Boring. It was just background noise. It served the purpose to block out the neighbors.

Tried to continue in the series but had to give up.

The story has more holes than Swiss cheese. How do books like this get made? Before publishing multiple people must have read it.

Ben is an idiot. His goal in this book was to eliminate Blorb. He gets the chance when they fight in the palace instead of doing what he did to the other of Blorbs race he just pushes him off. A couple chapters earlier he was killing them left and right but when it really matters Ben becomes a complete idiot.

Why doesn’t Ben use restore to fix his arm? It was already established that touching the sigal will heal whatever is touching it. So restore can’t heal Ben from shoulder down but according to cannon he should be able to hold his hand against restore and heal from his hand to his shoulder.

Why doesn’t Ben go to where all the other guilded are made and replace his catalyst? He has killed enough of them that he could easily use separate on their dead bodies and remove their catalyst.

Could’ve been a great series but the plot holes are just too much.
