Fantasy Gold

The first book and this one was frikin awesome! I laughed out loud many times thru both. Meg knows what she doing. The books are nice and smooth with the right amount of heat! The narrator is one of the best. The different voices she uses flows nice together.

Not as good as the first

it was a bit harder for me to listen to this book bc the FL was so annoying. When she was in danger she stalled and rambled ALOT. If you can get past the first hour the story startes getting better.

Great Story, but kind of irritating

So this story resumes from Shifter God and I can't say it's better than the first. It picks off right where it left off and continues with the same action as before just a lot more romance which is a nice change for our Lead Female Character Pip, as I choose to call her. However, I was mildly irritated in the first book with Pip, I am extremely irritated with her now. Sometimes her mouth is funny and refreshing but other times it is just too much. It would be nice if she could have a serious attitude for once without her annoying commentary. 🙄 However, the story line is good and leaves you with a pretty knowledgeable guess as to what will happen next. It is a cliff hanger but it isn't a huge one where you want to throw the book at the wall. Slight spoiler this book does explain more of who and what she is while also explaining what has transpired between her and the Vampire God. If you are looking to listen to this book I would highly recommend listening to Shifter God first as it helps you to truly understand the the where and why.

Great book.

Good narration and interesting story. This book kept me wanting and waiting for more. Loved it.

Worth The Wait

I waited patiently for this book and will continue to be ….patient! But I need the next one Quickly please. VERY GOOD BOOK!

The adventure continues!

Continuing the Monsters After Dark series. Meg takes us to the exact spot book 1 left us.

Pip is rescued by Marlowe, the Vampire God. She has had dreams of him in the previous book. But at the end of book 1, she remembers his name too! Then the adventure begins again!

This still has spice and adventure, and it has elements that flow through Pip’s memories so that she remembers more and more. There’s a lot of comedic charm with Pip nicknaming those around her. And showing us that she is a cheapie. We see some foes becomes allies here but Pip is more worried than ever about losing more friends from everyone trying to get her. That ending was built upon leading her towards War the third horseman who is determined to take over Pip’s body and soul and lead everyone to damnation.

Victoria Mei is an amazing voice actor, she does all of the characters so well that I can easily distinguish between them all. I love going into an adventure with her performances.

Everyone Needs a Marlowe! I LOVED this story!

He’s been looking for her for a century. No one else will do. And when he finds her, heaven help anyone that tries to get in his way … Picking up where book one leaves off, “Vampire God” is pure dynamic PERFECTION! The writing, the characters, the story, the heat, the humor, the emotion, and oh MY, the TWISTS, it’s ALL there, it’s ALL stunning in it’s PERFECTION! Sorry, no spoilers other than I want a Marlowe of my own! As with book one, truly fabulous narration brings this story and these characters to beautiful, brilliant life! This compelling, complex, complete package easily earns five fantastic stars, and I’m on to book three!

Absolutely brilliant!

I loved this story when I read it, but I enjoyed the audio book even more. I will admit that I binged it in one day. I didn't regret it while I was listening, but now I'm sad that I finished it so fast. Being able to listen while I was cleaning, running to the grocery store, and playing with my puppy was the perfect way to spend my day. Victoria Mei has a beautiful voice, and she does a fantastic job of switching between characters. She's a joy to listen to.

I love all of Ms Xuemei X's books and I highly recommend this one.

Great story

Love the strength of Pip and the dark devotion of the vampire god. Lots of heat too.
