Publisher's summary

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it.

Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly did not expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity?

Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings, expecting to only slow my fall. My powerful wingbeat plucked my feet from the sand as it threw me into the air. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. Well, they say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single light wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn’t true flight. And I still wasn’t on the windowsill.

my favorite book by far

I can read and listen to this book over and over again and never get tired of it. it's perfect for those who would rather escape the reality of our human responsibilities. for those who don't know, there is a sequel to this book that you can read for free on wattpad. you can also read the first draft of this first book for free over there too. Crystal has a bunch of other books there you might be interested in as well.

the only thing I had a slight issue with was the narration. some parts fell flat on the emotion through the dialog, a few parts have an extra take that wasn't edited out, and it's a little hard to tell when she is switching between dialog since she doesn't change her voice much. other than that, she does have a pleasant voice to listen to.

Loved it

This one took me by surprise. I went in mildly interested, sounded unique to say the least. But it truly stuck with me, might even be in my top 5.
If there was anything i wanted to complain about was that i wanted to know more about her life during the time skip in the beginning, other than that 10/10.

A fun story

While a bit slower paced at times there are also points at action as well. The slower times are full of interesting character and story building that are never boring. and though there are a few minor criticisms I could make I'm not good. The book was too much fun and too much of just what I needed.

A great escape from the flaws of humanity.

It's wonderful to occasionally have a great story that takes you away from the ses-pit of human nature. This story does it in style and allows you an escape while also leaving you with a wish of "if only".

it was ok

But the big thing is that is keeping it from being amazing is how much time and energy is spent with the training of a intelligent human turned dragon and EVEN AFTER they find out how smart they are AND CAN TALK!!!!! They are treated like a well trained dogs this could be a good series but to much Sit and stay. one scene comes to mind where the main alien dude brings his girlfriend the MC back to all the other dragons and she has to wait for his command befor she can go see the others. I would not care if it was a military setting but it felt more like a BDSM thing then any thing else and that just feels to off putting for it here.

I made it half way through chapter 5

I didn't enjoy this book, but I see how some people could like it. It's a book about aliens and dragons so I get it's a fantasy but there were 2 major flaws in this book. 1. Since I got to chapter 5, every chapter (or at least what felt like every chapter) setting was drastically different. 2. I didn't think the main characters internal struggle with losing her old identity and taking on this new one was explored at all. She seems to immediately just accept that she is a dragon and that all of her hopes and dreams are gone with no internal conflict or struggle.
